I don’t usually write reviews, but this experience was so frustrating that I feel like I have to warn others. I visited Burger King expecting a quick, simple meal – just a cheeseburger and fries. Nothing complicated, right? Wrong.
I ended up waiting over 10 minutes for one basic cheeseburger and a portion of fries. Ten minutes! It wasn’t even during a busy lunch rush or anything. There were barely any other customers around, yet the staff seemed completely disorganized and uninterested in doing their jobs.
No one greeted me properly, and when I finally placed my order, I got the classic “it’ll be just a minute.” But that “minute” turned into a ridiculous wait, with no updates, no apologies, no communication whatsoever. I stood by the counter like an idiot watching the staff slowly shuffle around, chatting and moving with zero urgency.
When I finally got my food, it wasn’t even worth the wait. The cheeseburger was lukewarm, soggy, and looked like someone had stepped on it. The cheese wasn’t melted, the bun was squished, and the patty was dry. The fries? Cold and limp. They tasted like they’d been sitting out for half an hour. How does it take ten minutes to serve food that tastes like leftovers?
I get it – fast food isn’t fine dining. But this was just lazy, careless service. Burger King used to be reliable, but this location (and possibly the brand in general) has clearly stopped caring about quality or customer satisfaction.
Honestly, this was one of the worst fast food experiences I’ve had in a long time. I walked in hungry and left disappointed, annoyed, and still kind of hungry. I could’ve gone literally anywhere else and had a better time.
Save yourself the trouble – don’t waste your time...
Read moreWe visited Burger King (M5 Portbury) 6th September. We spent over £40 on our meal and were left extremely disappointed by both the service and the quality of the food.
We waited more than 25 minutes for our order, and when my husband enquired about the delay, staff shrugged and blamed the vegetarian option. Upon finally receiving our food and returning to our car, we discovered that several items were missing. This required us to go back inside, further delaying our meal. By the time we were able to start eating, more than 40 minutes had passed.
Unfortunately, the food was entirely unsatisfactory. It was cold and dry, and the vegetarian option in particular appeared to have been microwaved, leaving it chewy and unappealing.
Equally concerning was the lack of urgency from staff. They appeared disengaged, moving slowly and conversing amongst themselves rather than prioritising customers’ orders.
This experience was unacceptable, and the majority of our meal went uneaten and ultimately discarded. From a brand like Burger King , I expected a much higher standard of service and fast...
Read moreArrived at this store at 21:45 and proceeded to start ordering via one of the kiosks. A woman who had just walked from the tills clearly saw me ordering as she looked straight at me and didn't say anything to me, then continued to walk to the back of the store. Created my order, only two burgers were showing as sold out, nothing else showed a sold out sign. Went to pay, and the second I hit pay it said, 'This Kiosk is closed, please use another'. So I went to the main tills.
Then a chap came to serve me and all that was shouted to him from the back of the store by the same woman was, "We're shut, we're out of food." Although the kiosk I was previously ordering from only showed two items out of stock. So with still ten minutes to go before closing time and none of the other staff seeming to know anything about being sold out. I was turned away. Could of saved me 10 minutes of faffing and just told me they had, allegedly, ran out of food when I was ordering at the kiosk. Class customer...
