Visited for the first time for lunch. Received a warm, friendly welcome upon arrival. The menu had plenty to choose from and the quality of food was excellent. There was coleslaw on my meal which I don't normally like but I tried it anyway as it looked nice and WHO KNEW, It was amazing!! Made on the premises I was told. As an added bonus there was a young man serving tables who I worked with for a short time at a different company who is great, very friendly and helpful it was great to see him again. I would not hesitate to recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a quality cafe for a tasty meal. We will most certainly be back very soon. Thanks to all of the staff for a superb...

Haven't visited here for quite a few years. I had the turkey roll, stuffing, chips and gravy for lunch. Wow! The gravy was thicker than treacle and as big as an oil slick and tasted fantastic! No piddley stringy chips here, these were as big as bulldozer blades, crispy and fluffy in the middle. Big helping of turkey and stuffing with half a bun to help mop up the gravy! Delicious! Definitely a cut above a traditional pub lunch. My wife had the bacon and Brie sandwich, the Brie and bacon flanked by slices of bread at least 1/2 thick. A proverbial door stop! No way you'll leave feeling hungry. Will definitely visit next time...

Stopped here for lunch on our way up to Scotland at the weekend. We were looking all the way up the A697 for a café, and this was the first one we found... and it was definitely worth the wait - almost worth making a trip just to visit this place as the food really was that good, and plenty of it too. The baguettes were stuffed full and the carrot cake was probably one of the best we've ever had. The café itself was very clean, and nicely laid out, with plenty of parking just off the main road. Staff were very friendly and prices were definitely reasonable - a fantastic little place in an...

The hidden gem just of the road. Stopped at this cafe as they had outdoor seating. When we went in it was spotlessly clean. A good menu including some fabulous cakes .we ordered fish and chips. Good price. But this was much better than the run of the mill soggy battered fish. The fish had a really light very crispy batter and was beautifully cooked.gge chips were crispy on the outside and soft inside with a sprinkle of sea salt. The tartar sauce was home made and lovely. I can't remember having such nice fish and chips. The other customers were tucking into some lovely food. Would recommend

Dropped in to this lovely little cafe hoping for a good pot of tea & a scone. We got that & more all the food on display looked homemade & delicious the menu was a surprise too, plenty of choice for a country cafe, we also found that there are to rooms to rent on a nightly basis around £85 including breakfast. Well worth a visit if your passing you will receive a warm welcome & good fare.
