Caffe Ginevra Low Prudhoe — Restaurant in England

I regularly pop in at lunchtime when I'm working from home to grab a takeaway coffee and sometimes food (the lentil soup is my favourite), though I have sat in for a coffee with friends on a weekend. Just a lovely experience all round - really friendly staff and the best coffee for miles, even their iced coffee in summer is to die for. Edit: I've been coming here weekly since it opened and a year after my initial review standards are dropping so I've dropped a star. Last time I visited I ordered a pot of tea. The teabag was missing. So I went to the counter to get the teabag. Then I noticed I didn't have a teaspoon, nor did my friend so I asked them, and they brought.... one teaspoon between the two of us (friend was having coffee!). My cup was filthy and I had to clean it with a napkin. Please don't drop your standards Ginevra, it's my local and I love the place and...

Update 5.04.24. Second time in a week I have been in to get a latte. Why are you putting coffee in water glasses with no handles?

For one they are difficult to pick up as the glass is very hot, secondly expect coffee in a coffee cup , surely not too much to ask. If short of cups then put in a takeaway cup not water glasses.

Also asked for coffee to be put into a proper cup with handle. No surprise cup was not very full as the water glasses are tiny.

Lots of tables uncleared and still uncleared when I left 45 minutes later. No wonder there are no cups to use.

Will stop coming here if you continue to use water glasses with no handles for hot coffee.

Lovely choice of sandwiches which can be toasted and you get a side salad with it. Good range of coffee, soft drinks, milk shakes and the icecreams are...

We have been to this cafe a couple of time before but will not be returning after the absolutely dreadful attitude of one staff member that we encountered today . We went in to give my children a Friday ice cream treat , as we were trying to sit and enjoy our drinks and ice creams a female member of staff decided to sweep the floor with a large brush around our feet (obviously trying to get an early finish ) When we happened to mention to each other that we didn’t think this was appropriate when customers were still sat in the cafe we were met by what I can only describe as a torrent of abuse from this woman . I have never dealt with someone with such a horrible attitude towards customers. I would avoid this place at all costs until they sort their customer...
