Cake Box — Restaurant in England

Me and my wife have taken to visiting the cake box cafe, sometimes just for a drink and sometimes dinner, the food is great, prices very good value for money, all the staff in there are very polite and friendly, but I have to say there is one woman in there, sorry wish I knew her name, she is like a breath of fresh air, she greets everyone who comes in with a smile, and lots by there name, its great to be served by her nothing is to much trouble, she is a great asset to the cake box, I have been served by plenty of staff in other establishments that look and act like they just don't want to be there, I look forward to my next vist to...

Definitely not the proper traditional bakers I remember. Was there about 12.30 so plenty of stuff to choose from if you like chocolate. Got what I thought was a cream meringue mums favourite to her disgust it was filled with better cream. They never said it wasn't cream. The Cornish pasties pastry where very hard not nice. But to be fair had a very nice filling. Very disappointed not a traditional bakers cake in the shop. Really fancied a Belgian bu or chealse, or even a decent doughnut. Cake box has been local to me since I was 4 years old. Great to see they have expanded into the town centre, but I still love my little local on wessex road, now visit with my daughter, as does my partner and we love grabbing our favourite sweet treats every now and then. Great to see they now do bacon sarnies again, they are fantastic and dont skimp out on the bacon, a great Friday treat after work. If they ever stop doing mint Australian crunch I will be lost!
