Over the past 30 years, the standard of Indian restaurants in the Greater Manchester area has really dropped. Even the "Curry Mile" doesn't really exist anymore, which tells you something. Having become disillusioned with my regular haunt I started to ask around, and a friend recommended this place. I've been 6 times in the 4 months since that recommendation. The restaurant is spacious and modern. The staff are exceptionally friendly. The food is top-class, with a menu unlike any other Indian restaurant I've dined in. For years I would go with just a bhuna, dopiaza, or biryani, so I've decided to just pick random things off the menu now, with the help of the staff. One young waiter has circled around 12 different dishes for me to try, and halfway through those recommendations I'm not disappointed yet. Highlights for me have to be the Chennai kebab from the starter options, and the Chennai Exotica from the mains, although the Malibu Chicken and Chennai Chum Chum come a very close second. The papadums come with a great chutney tray, and the rice, bread, and side dishes are all on point. You get a lot of food for your money. And on top of the fantastic dining experience, the prices are reasonable too. There aren't many places these days where you can dine for around £30 per head, including alcohol. I did consider giving a poor review, to keep people away, as it's been full every time I've been. Reservations are highly recommended.

WOW, really do rate this restaurant 👏.came with my Mrs after reading reviews & a recommendation from a friend. It's a MUST to visit. Firstly, the service is very personal and inviting from the moment you step in the door. Prawn Chat & Butterfly King Prawn starters were very tasty. My main was Afghani with Fish instead of Chicken (as I don't eat meat). It wasn't on the menu, but upon asking, it wasn't a problem at all. I've got to say it's the most succulent, tasty Afghani dish I can remember having. Will definitely be revisiting these in the near future. 5 🌟 all day long. The staff & Chefs go above & beyond. Thanks, we are going again at the weekend with our friends. Dave & Alison x

We rang up at 4pm asking to reserve a table for 2 at 6pm which we thought would be a struggle with it being valentines weekend however they were more than happy to accommodate us. We arrived at 6pm and waited a few minutes for them to prepare the table which wasn't a problem.

We ordered poppadoms which were fresh and tasty. Followed by the chicken chat starter and the Chennai mixed starter, both tasted amazing, all the meat on the mixed starter was cooked perfectly.

We then had chicken tikka karai and a lamb achari. I was feeling adventurous as I usually always order a bhuna but fancied something different. The waiter made some recommendations of special dishes on their menu based on our tastes which was nice.

The curries were also tasty and we both really enjoyed our meals.

The staff were all very friendly and provided brilliant customer service.

It looked as though our bill didn't include all our drinks which we raised to staff and they revised the bill and thanked us for our honesty however we only realised when we left that there was then too much extra added on but we had already paid and left before we realised. However, we really enjoyed our night and food so wasn't too bothered about the extra charge.

We have been here previously and also had great experiences on all previous visits, so I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting an amazing Indian meal with...

MOTHERS DAY We booked a table for 6pm more than a week before today, we booked specially for 6pm because we had a 6 month old baby and knew that we would have to be home for 7.30pm for his night feed before bed. When we got there, we was told to wait at the bar area for our table. We waited there for around 15 minutes, after which time I asked where our drinks were (which we ordered when we first came in) to be then told our table was ready. When we got to our table, I still had to chase for our drinks. The next table came in, sat at the side of us. We had got our drinks and popodoms at this point.. (we also had a 5yr old) then another 45 mins had passed. The waiter attending the table next to us, I heard say oh they are landlords (previously building behind or building next door) & to "treat them very well" he said. Well, they got their food before us given we had children and ordered 30 mins before. I queried this and they said it was because they finished their poppadoms first. They didn't, they simply was more important. My partner with our 6 month old baby at 7.30pm (still with no food) had to leave the restaurant and not eat his food and I had to rush my daughters food down her with it being so late. They didn't charge me in the end but it took some arguing, seems to me if you aren't such regulars dont expect a...
