⭐️Rating 5/5⭐️ During our stroll from the Abbotsbury Swannery to the bus stop en route to Weymouth, we stumbled upon Cherries Abbey Farm along a narrow gravel road flanked by a babbling stream. Against the backdrop of a centuries-old stone building, the café beckoned with promises of warmth and hospitality. Stepping inside, we were greeted by the welcoming smiles of the staff and a tantalizing display of cakes and treats. Despite the café nearing closing time, our gracious waitress extended a warm invitation for us to indulge in a quick bite. Opting for a comforting selection, we savored boozy hot chocolate and peppermint tea to ward off the chill, accompanied by a classic scone adorned with clotted cream and jam. The boozy hot chocolate proved to be a delightful surprise, striking the perfect balance between whisky and cocoa, prompting a second order for the road. Meanwhile, the scone, warm and pillowy, served as the ideal canvas for the indulgent duo of clotted cream and jam. Without a doubt, Cherries Abbey Farm has left an indelible mark on our hearts, prompting the promise of a return visit for more of its delectable scones. With its warm hospitality, delightful treats, and enchanting ambiance, Cherries Abbey Farm earns a resounding 5/5 rating. After all, if not for my intervention, my wife might have happily ensconced herself with peppermint tea and countryside views indefinitely.

What can I say...just a wonderful setting, great location and beautiful decorated and music in the background. Great selection of food and drink on the menu, spoilt for choice. I had the ploughman's ...which I must say was presented well (see foto) and was very tasty with a nice salad, curry pickle which was lush ....and the cheese and ham was lovely.....the down side......it said bread and crackers ... No crackers,no butter for spreading on what I was told was bloomer bread but you could nearly see through each slice....and the cheese was a slither... barely 2 mouthfuls....no pickled onions!! If you are offering a ploughmans make it worthwhile the cost of £18......I really enjoyed it but the portion control was very well controlled. It was great and tasty but very small portions and not worth £18🙁 I'm afraid.

Served a delicious vegan kedgeree (adapted from fish version on brunch menu). Nice place and would have had 5 stars for everything if had not been pressured to move from a small table to a seating area with no table/ leave the cafe before finishing my coffee at the end of my meal to make room for a group of 7 who hadn't bothered to book. I had only been there 20 mins or so at that point, most of which was waiting for food so not exactly hogging a table. Shame they couldn't have waited just 5 more minutes as I would have left of my own accord without the bad taste in my mouth. Overall would still recommend because the food was good and I appreciated them coming up with something vegan, but don't suggest visiting alone. NB the cafe was not full at that point by any means.

Well done creating such versatile menu on the background of some very bland local alternatives! We tried two dishes today and both were creative, fresh and beautifully flavoured. Service was professional, friendly and efficient. Great find for a lunchtime stop! Updating in 2025 and had to knock off a star for food. We had a pulled lamb burger today which tasted great, was very well cooked and seasoned. The chips seemed to have a somewhat industrial smell, possibly reflecting an issue with the oil. Also it wouldn't cost a lot to add a bit of side salad, not asking for much, just a bit of tomato and lettuce maybe? £17 for just a burger a handful of chips, with no greens on the side, and £4 for a watery coffee doesn't feel fair. It's hard in the current climate but please don't take the side salad away from meals, I am getting really tired of paying good money for what I expect to be a balanced meal but receiving a mixture of badge carbs, bad quality fats and protein. We still need fibre and vitamins! Service and welcome have always been excellent though, today being...
