Coast Kitchen-Bar-Terrace — Restaurant in England

Popped in today for a quick lunch before going to the beach. Menu selection wasn’t great so we ended up getting carbonara and a loaded burger. Food came fast but it was all rather low quality. The carbonara seemed to come out of a jar with the toppings also not being fresh. The beef burger had a sliver of pulled pork on to make it loaded. The burger itself made both our stomachs turn. Just tasted like sweaty mince meat and not in a good way. Even though we were hungry we couldn’t finish our meals. My girlfriend was so disappointed she even shed a tear over this awful lunch. Meant to make good memories on holiday. It’s a shame when the only redeeming quality of your food is the chips.

Would have raised these issues to staff but they were all busy behind the bar and nobody was really paying any attention to us in the restaurant. Doubt they’d even want to hear it.

Other than that the location is wonderful and the venue is fairly clean.

Tried to order the sea bass but they said they didn't have the bass or the mussels. I ordered the rump steak cooked rare and with peppercorn sauce instead, my wife ordered the Mac and Cheese. The food arrived reasonably quickly. My steak was cooked rare but was so tough it was difficult to eat. But as I had already injected my insulin I needed to eat my meal. The skin on fries, onion rings, mushroom, tomato and the peppercorn sauce were quite good. When I mentioned what the steak was like to a member of staff she just said I will tell him. My wife's Mac and Cheese needed more cheese the sauce was rather thin and watery and the garlic bread was soft rather than crispy. Rather expensive meals for what we had. Perhaps we got them...

Only 5 Star's because that's the maximum allowed! Absolutely lush time, view, food and the service alone is well worth the visit! I was trying to find a venue with a view, great food, service with a large party of people to kick off my engagement ideas and the young ladies there, the management and head chef accommodated all of my needs and plenty more with planning of the engagement for my now fiancé! The food was so good, very well prepared and presented! From a previous restaurant owner, this was a very memorable experience with the staff, food and atmosphere!

Keep up the good work everyone, myself and everyone with us will most definitely return!
