Cornish Maids — Restaurant in England

If ever there was a pasty shop that deserves a great recommendation, then it is Cornish Maids in Camelford. The staff are so friendly, and accommodating to requests for individual tastes for pasties. Given sufficient notice, they will do pasties with or without swede, without pepper (my preference) as well as gluten free. The filling of their steak pasties is excellent, with plenty of meat. Their latest creation is a "miner's pasty", which my family and I tried a couple of weeks ago - we were not disappointed. It is a pasty and a half, being a standard steak pasty with an added extra part for a sweet filling of apple and sultanas. In their usual flexibility they did my sweet part with just apple which was perfect. My family and I thought the combination worked really well. So thank you so much Cornish Maids for making our day, and being so kind in catering for my family and my particular tastes...

One of the best pasties I ever had dudee, the lady at the counter was super nice, the food is great value and it's tasty af, that one review about there being more potato then steak was right but I don't mind because I love potato. and there wasnt any hugely thick clod of pastry which is great, I definitely recommend it. The only bad thing is that the door is a pain to open...

I was blown away by how lovely these pasties were. Even My 11 year old son who doesn’t like pastry was converted. We also had some sausage rolls and they were great as well. My only regret was that we only discovered this shop on the last day of our holiday. We will be buying pasties from here for many years to...
