Coronation Inn — Restaurant in England

Big pub with lots of TVs playing sport and a pool table. Didn’t eat but it was a nice pub, with nice staff and friendly punters.

*After-note … Landlord/lady asked, “why it was a 3 star and what could they do to improve”. I can’t reply as it’s my review, so decided to respond here … It’s a pub which sells food and as I didn’t eat I couldn’t score it accordingly, and it’s an overall rating, so I took a star off. It also costs to park in the car park which isn’t a great attribute. However, because the landlord/lady has taken time to ask, it shows they care and for that I’ve increased it to 4 stars for the pub, drink, the staff and the punters. My family and I visited the Coronation Inn on a weekday afternoon. It was quiet with what looked like a few regular customers in. We easily found a place to sit given that there were six of us, and we were ordering food. The place was clean and tidy. Music and televisions were on low, so you could have a conversation, unlike some establishments. Ordering food was either at the bar or scanning the QR code on the menu. We ordered at the bar. The bar staff were very helpful and polite. The food didn't take long to arrive and we all had empty plates. The food was good for what you expected in a pub and we even ordered deserts after. We booked a table for family meal for 8 family members. Table was set for us when we arrived. Drinks very well priced and varied. we ordered mains and kids meals. Excellent value, well prepared and served quickly. Overall service and attention to detail could not be faulted. On this occasion my wife and i were treating the family but we normally have the early bird specials once a fortnight as they are exceptionally good value. We appreciate a good pub with good drinks and food and will continue to support it...
