Costa Coffee — Restaurant in England

Been quite a regular of this Costa over a few years but in this last 12 months service has gone down, and also at the King Street store. Today this store was meant to be open at 8.30am but opened at 8.40am, when asked (by a couple of customer's) why it was a little late opening today the response from member of staff was 'its only 10 minutes' The point is though it's advertised opening at 8.30am and thats when your core business is going to be, people are heading to work etc and wanting a coffee or some breakfast. Went to the other store first and that was busy and they couldn't keep up with orders. Priority seems to be given to orders that are done online which is unfair when your stood around waiting in store. If you are understaffed then you should be putting some notices up to say why service is delayed, and then customers might be more...

Coffee was as expected. Polite young man served us unfortunately due to Covid half the seats are not in use which I think effects the atmosphere. More of a pickup and go place...
