Costa Coffee — Restaurant in England

One of the nicer Costas...largely down to the very friendly staff

Oh dear. Have to update my initial review. Went there today 8/9/24 and received very poor service. I got my coffee and spent 40 minutes or so in there. Just before leaving I noticed that the reward credit hadn't been applied. As I am a regular Costa fiend I thought I would get it credited on the way out. Not so easy it seems....I was told needed the receipt....who gets a receipt for coffee and a biscuit? Not me anyway. But I showed them the debit from my online bank app and the reward history on the Costa app which showed no reward that day. The manager still insisted on a receipt even the though the lady who served me confirmed she had served me a coffee. All a bit silly for about 30p and I felt petty pursuing it....but it was the officiousness that wound me up. Anyway after 2 or 3 minutes arguing the manager did credit my app....but only after saying that she would be in trouble as everything was on camera! A bit Kafkaesque. Shame really as never had anything but good service at this branch before today but I don't think I can bring myself to go...

Often in the UK you just get used to things the way they are. McDonald’s having no milkshakes, BMW drivers not using inidicators, or in my case, Costa Coffee establishments being generally dirty. I’ve seen coffee machines that look like they’ve not been cleaned in weeks, tables dying to be wiped down but worst of all, the toilets 🤢

I don’t know what’s being done differently in Trowbridge Spitfire Retail park, but whatever or whoever is behind it is doing something right. The team all had smiles on their faces, the floors and tables were all clean, the coffee machine was sparkling. However, for me, the pièce de résistance was the toilets. They were spotless. I was dreading going for a wee, but they made me want to stay in there even longer (I didn’t, though, that would be weird).

The manager (I presume) Olga seemed genuinely invested in customer experience and Dakota delivered some of the finest Costa drinks I’ve ever had the pleasure of drinking. I will be updating on my next visit as there are names I couldn’t remember, but the team was like a well oiled machine. Well played, I will be seeing...

I have called 10 times with no answer.

I spent £28 on two coffees, one tiffin, one sandwich and two wraps. All of which supposedly to be delivered within 40 mins.

I waited almost two hours for the delivery and received only the coffee and the tiffin.

Essentially I was charged £28 for two coffees and a slice of dessert. It's also important to note at no point did they contact me. I chased the driver down the road asking for my food and he assured me he didn't have it.

Terrible. Just terrible the manager should be fired for negligence. I can't imagine how many other people they've tried to steal from.

Costa coffee “not intentionally stealing from you” says it all doesn't it.

since it was an accident that really doesn't change a lot for me I'm still out of pocket and see no way of being fairly...
