Costa Coffee — Restaurant in England

By far the best 'real' coffee of all the big coffee chains plus their special toasts are like nectar to your taste buds! Try their Wiltshire Ham & Cheddar Toastie or a fresh croissant for fewer (but still naughty) calories. Or a selection of fresh panini's-Tuna Melt, yes please! I'm diabetic so rarely have any of their sweeter offerings but you're spoilt for choice of pastries, brownies, shortcake or slice of amazing cakes. On top of that they sell reusable coffee/tea cups (Lg & Sml), get your own huge Costa cappuccino cup for home & even their blends of coffees in pods or pouches of grounds (which I prefer). Want more? I had a very unpleasant experience today at Costa. I arrived shortly after 8:00 AM, and the doors were still locked. I noticed that a customer was already sitting inside, so I assumed the doors might have been stuck or malfunctioning. I also saw a member of staff inside, though I wasn’t sure if they were serving someone or preparing food behind the counter.

I waited about 3 minutes, and when it was already 8:04, I’ll admit I pulled on the doors a three times, thinking maybe something was wrong with them – especially since someone was already inside.

A staff member then came out and spoke to me in an extremely unpleasant manner. He didn’t let me in at all, as if I had done something wrong or behaved aggressively, which I absolutely didn’t. I was simply confused – if one customer was already inside, why couldn’t I enter too?

I felt humiliated and really disappointed by the way I was treated. This is not the kind of behaviour I expect from...

Very disappointed with overall cleanliness of this drive thru building . Had coffee inside here , waited more than a exceptable time period for drinks , staff busy attending drive thru customers . When coffee did arrive , girl who walked from drive thru side with my coffee, had a finger inside my cup , then placed on a prepared saucer, there was surplus crumbs all over chair at the only vacant place, which I had to brush off . Issues in left hand side toilet, some person , guess a man had urinated on floor , water tap sensor not working properly had to use loo paper to wipe surplus soap off hands . Overall this Costa needs to be managed better. Went to other Costa in retail area and had a totally better experience , staff smiled and served customers far better , I can say that drive thru Costa is under allot of service pressure that needs addressing in...
