Shocking attitude from a male member of staff tonight. Myself and partner had been working a very long day for the emergency services and thought we’d treat ourselves to an anniversary meal and for me to show my partner the community that I have been proudly serving and keeping safe, as a subcontractor on behalf of NWAS. We live in Buckinghamshire and I travel up here to work a few days at a time and stay local. So my partner came to see the area where I work. We first walked in and asked if food was still being served, a polite young lad informed us that they were. Great we thought we’re famished. We decided what we wanted and I went to the bar to order. This is when it went rapidly downhill. We was informed that there was an hour wait (the place was practically empty and 20:00 hrs), the server said it with such a horrid tone and barb in his voice, ‘oh okay, if we had known that when we walked in we would have gone else where but no problems’. The server came back ‘well it’s an hours wait!!!, this time voice raised slightly and sharper in tone, I choose to ignore it a second time. We decided the day had been long and we was hungry, so started to order. Second bit in the server ‘we don’t have nachos’…no sorry or offer of a substitute and the sharp tone was still there. My polite reply and still not retaliating ‘oh dear we ain’t doing well mate’ (jovial tone and level on my part). The server ‘well I can’t help the bloody food can I’ his tone sharper than before. Now at this time me patience had worn thin, it was time for him to be dressed down by an Afghan war veteran and now serving member of the ambulance service. ‘Fella you have done that four times now and my patience is wearing thin, there is no need for you to talk to me like that’. He came back with ‘well would you like someone else to serve you and stormed off. We decided to leave…my advice to the server, leave you personal issues at home, we do when dealing with the public and so should you.
Positive ending; well done to Nando’s down the road who fed a hungry member of the ambulance service and his partner from Thames Valley Police
Would I’d have put half a star if wasn’t for the polite lad...
Read moreI recently visited the Four Eagles pub and wanted to share my thoughts on the experience. Overall, I found it to be a nice establishment with good food and a decent atmosphere. However, there were a few aspects that could be improved upon.
Firstly, I enjoyed the food at the Four Eagles. The menu offered a variety of options, and the quality of the dishes was satisfactory. Additionally, the desserts were a highlight – delicious and worth indulging in.
The atmosphere of the pub is generally pleasant, but it tends to get too loud on weekends, which can be a bit overwhelming at times. Furthermore, while there are plenty of seating areas, I noticed that the outdoor space could benefit from more equipment to make it more children-friendly.
I understand that during busy periods, wait times can be lengthy. However, most of the staff are friendly and approachable, which helps make the wait more bearable. Despite this, I did find that the bar service could be quite slow, although the bar staff were always polite.
In conclusion, the Four Eagles is a perfect spot for a cheap pub grub outing, whether with family or as a couple. While there are areas for improvement, such as reducing weekend noise levels and speeding up bar service, I would still recommend it for a casual...

Attended here as I have done with my daughter for the past few weeks to attend the National Armed Forces Breakfast Club on a Saturday morning. Arrived at 9.45am for breakfast, 7 others from the group were already there then. Went to the bar to order breakfasts and was told in no uncertain terms that children were NOT WELCOME in that area. I could have understood if it was an evening, but this was for breakfast. I informed the rest of the group that we were not allowed to stay and went elsewhere for breakfast. I am ex Cheshire Regiment and member of the British Legion and my daughter (13 years old) is a youth member of the British Legion and attends the Cheshire Regiment meetings and events. I was shocked and disgusted at the venue which advertises itself as family friendly. I have informed British Legion and will be telling everyone about the Four Eagles in Crewe. I will never visit there again and urge others to go elsewhere too....
