Disgusting waste of money! Spent £56 on dreadful food that ended up in bin. Cold hard undercooked chips, all small scraps of potato. Mushy small fish dipped in egg which is a no no! Clearly must be frozen not fresh. Over priced real disappointing end to our holiday.

Very Nice fresh fish & chips for the adults and chicken nuggets and chips for the kids. Good portion sizes and were very filling. Definitely be back in the future when visiting cornwall

Fish and chips were ok. Batter was a bit soggy for me but the fish was nice. Curry sauce was a bit strange, but it was nice, just not normal chip shop curry. Not bad prices.

Stopped by here on my travels just before closing but the staff still rustled up some amazing food. I saw a few negative reviews about prices and portions being different to what they expect back home but I can’t see what the fuss is about. Paid £11.25 for a beautiful price of cod, more chips than I could eat in a week, a portion of mushy peas and two pickled onions. Whilst it does seem pricey compared to back home for a lot of people, this place doesn’t get the year round custom that your local gets in your home town. It’s priced accordingly and its more than reasonable for the local area. As for portion sizes…if you think the portions are small, you’re eating way too much.

Cod was nice and light, yet fulfilling. The chips were some of the best I’ve ever tried. The mushy peas just topped it all off.

And now I’m writing this with self induced heartburn from eating pickled...

Sadly, very poor fish and chips indeed. Chips were very dry, stale even. The fish quality was very poor and small which for this part of the world is inexcusable. The batter was heavy, greasy and soggy. Tasteless would best describe the meal. We have been twice over the years while staying in Harlyn and the experience food wise was the same, very disappointing. Although the staff were lovely as was the atmosphere. Price.. £22 for fish and chips twice for this quality is daylight robbery you would get a better experience from frozen cod and frozen chips from the supermarket to be honest. 😢 oh, and avoid the curry sauce, unless you like sultanas as they give you plenty...

I went here with my family after my parents recommended it and here is what I learnt:-

The "Cod" is either not cod or very poor quality. The batter was utterly tasteless.

The chips were quite nice, 7/10.

The childrens chicken nuggets look like cancer.

The vinegar was watered down.

It's not great value for money.

The staff are friendly to your face then make snide comments as you walk out of the door. In our case it was because one of my family wanted extra vinegar on their portion of a nearly £40 order.

For future reference you've just lost regular customers (my parents) and anyone that they would have recommended.

If it wasn't for the chips it would have...
