Party of 11 , Foxy AfternoonTea Very disappointing service. *When making the booking the Manager was very friendly & attentive , during our visit he did not acknowledge us or enquire if everything was ok , not once in the 2 plus hours that we were there, even when we were preparing to leave & I spoke to him directly regarding another matter. I chose not to complain about the lack of /poor service , at the time, as everyone was having such a good time catching up with each other , I did not wish to dampen the celebration . Afterwards, I discovered that the rest of my party had felt exactly the same , telling me about their disappointment and dissatisfaction. We had invested nearly £200 in The Foxy Afternoon Tea "experience " , basically we received the equivalent of 1 sandwich, 2 scones cream & jam,a tiny slice of brownie , a tiny sponge cake, a coconut sweet slice & some mix berries, tea or coffee. On it's own definitely not worth £17.50 p.p. It is the added feeling of having something special, the attentive service , the "treat" that you pay for . The food was basically "plonked " on the table with no explanation as to what was on each tower , we were left to divide the cheese or non cheese scones amongst ourselves. They did not interact with the customers in a warm way , at no time enquiring if everything was ok , even with regard to the coffee & tea. 1 guest asked if she could please have a coke instead of the tea or coffee , she was told a flat no ,by the waitess ,not only that but that she would not take the order for a drink at the table & that she must go up to the counter ..!! For this privilege she was charged £2.50 for a very small bottle of coke I was disgusted by this , we had brought in nearly £200 of extra business to an otherwise relatively quite Tuesday Afternoon & they could not accommodate 1 persons request . I have recently had the pleasure of experiencing Afternoon Tea's at other Cafes or Restaurants & not 1 charged for an alternative soft drink to the advertised tea or coffee . This was a wonderful service. Also the size & content of The Foxy Afternoon Tea was inferior compared to others that we had sampled . Some of my party of 11 had never been to The Garden House Cafe before & informed me that due to the poor quality/lack of service, would not be returning again ..even though they had thought that the layout of the cafe & garden were beautiful. We all had a wonderful time but that was due to our own positive & sociable attitude to life , not due to our experience of visiting The Garden Cafe...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreA great new addition to Wellington and Somerset with a very fresh feeling menu and relaxed stylish atmosphere. A very welcoming entrance for non-residence local customers and a massive plus for anyone staying here! A very good range of gluten free options with many meals already gluten free. Sensible prices throughout the day and a very clever approach to a menu available for most of the day with afternoon teas and cakes/snacks between 2pm and 5pm each day. The menu allows you to ākind ofā pick and choose from lighter bites, salads and sides to make your own meal with platters to chose. Very tasty quality food with heathy fresh options. And if you just want a morning to coffee and cake... donāt feel you canāt as the restaurant is designed as much a coffee and drinks place as a midday meal or evening place to relax or celebrate! With indoor and outside seating with views across to the Blackdown hills you canāt go wrong with...

Essentially paid £50 to use a swimming pool and sit in a chill out room. Was meant to be a birthday gift from my mother for us all to enjoy, spent the whole time waiting for people to get out of the pool/jacuzzi so we could...
