Gloria Restaurant Prudhoe — Restaurant in England

Visited on Xmas eve for the first time and must say just how outstanding every aspect of glorias was. Firstly the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and excellent with small children. Secondly the decor is beautiful and doesn't feel cluttered. Thirdly, and most importantly the food was so delicious. I would highly recommend the soup of the day which was tomato, really moreish. And for main course the rollo cordon bleu, again I will recommend as cooked to perfection. Other family members had other rollo dishes, which they all thoroughly enjoy, or lasagne which I got to sample and the right blend of mince, sauce and cheese, a dish that many restaurants don't seem to get right but glorias certainly did. This place is not wheelchair accessible, very steep stairs to get there. I ordered for a starter some calamari which was soggy and had no flavour. We ordered some bread and butter and it came toasted, stale and crumbly, the butter was disgusting and unsalted; for the main i ordered the tagliatelle alla spagnola which also had little to no flavour and made me have a really sore stomach afterwards. First visit this evening and it wont be the last. A Beautifully presented restaurant. 5* food and service. Clever and skilled timing between courses.
