Absolutely would 100% recommend The Grace to anyone and everyone. I booked a table for my daughters birthday meal and the staff went above and beyond to make the experience as amazing as possible. We were asked to order food in advance, as it was a large group and they didn't want anyone to be disappointed by not being able to get what they wanted. Every little detail was taken into consideration, we were given loads of room for my cousins wheelchair and all the family to sit comfortably around the table even though it was so busy in the pub (Merseyside derby day). The food came out to the group in quick succession so everyone was eating at the same time and every bite was perfection. As soon as the plates were cleared, I went up to ask for the birthday cake to be brought out and even though Michaela had finished her shift, she stayed behind to bring the cake out for us. I want to write so much more for you all but I am honestly lost for words at how amazing the whole experience has been. Even though the pub was crazy busy due to the football, the staff never faulted once and handled every single request with a smile. They really do make you feel like part of the family there. Thank you again so much for such wonderful service. We will definitely be back but will try and book for...
Read moreAn excellent place due to the professionalism & friendliness of ALL the staff there, The food is outstanding & at a reasonable price, it is cooked exactly as you want it & you don't wait too long for it either. The menu is updated which is great as there is always new things to try & the challenges are really good value but hard to beat. The staff are really friendly & engage with you when they can to make you feel really welcome. The duke box has an excellent mixture of tune's from Deacon Blue's Dignity & Real Gone Kid (Chabs's favourite songs lol) to Prefab Spout's The King of Rock 'n' Roll (another staff favourite, they refer to as just Albuquerque lol) Please when you visit put these songs on for the staff, the deserve them to brighten up their shift. Quiz night on a Wednesday goes down really well with Wing Wednesday, a real hit for many in there, really good fun, a lot of laughs & excellent banter plus a a prize for the winner. If you haven't before give it a go, you won't be disappointed, Chabs, Andy & the rest of the staff really do go above & beyond & do everything they can to make sure your visit is safe offering inside & outside seating & free parking. I am looking forward to the up & coming live music & themed nights. Well done to all the staff, keep up...
Read moreThe day didn't begin well. Very cold and still closed even though it was almost midday. Upon seeing a couple of others outside a rather sulky young chappie arrived to open the doors and allowed us inside. He explained to another customer he knew that it was closed due to no one being around! Anyway, going back to 'outside,' there was a lot of excess, milky water (an accident waiting to happen) which no one had bothered to sweep or mop away. Once inside, we found there was no heating, so my wife and myself both sat at our table in coats, all we needed were some tools and we could easily have built ourselves an igloo given the icy air. No attempt - even so - to put on their heating, perhaps they too were using OVO as their energy provider and couldn't afford the outlandish bills. The meals themselves were admittedly good. The waitress was also decent and helpful. More customers arrived, who also decided to continue their repast in their outside attire. Note to manager: Saving money on heating when there are polar bears and penguins sharing your floor-space does not make for sensible business operations. Please put your heating on. and open your doors when you are...
