Updated 31/12/22.
After a great many meals and deliveries from here over the years, a big let down tonight.
Only half of the £70 food was delivered and I was immediately told by a member of staff to dispute this with Uber. I asked to speak to the owner who screamed at me and said I was rude and had to come to the shop to discuss it - an unusual thing to say.
Not very helpful disputing with Uber when the family are sat here with no food on New Year's Eve. This wasn't a £3 kebab - we're talking £70 worth of food we ordered over 2 days ago.
Strange the Uber guy unzipped his delivery bag in front of me and there was only one bag of food in. The delivery bag was filled at the restaurant.
Very poor service and a ruined New Year's Eve.
We will dispute the whole transaction and get a refund through the bank.
The strange thing is that all the missing items were added to the order on 31/12, 3 days after the original order. They were confirmed by Uber eats and we were given a new total cost. I suspect the owner didn't read the updates hence only one bag of food.
The owner is very quick to blame Uber eats when it's quite obvious where the mistake was made. All it needed was an apology/hands up and we'd all have moved on.
I've left my previous reviews of the restaurant under both owners below for reference.
Updated with review under the new owners - takeaway option (Covid restrictions & New Year's Eve) Would give it 9/10. Came 10 mins early. Various starters and main course which were excellent. Only letdown was the smallest bag of Prawn Crackers you've ever seen in your life and rice didn't look too good but was very tasty.
Response from the owner a year ago Hi Simon!
Firstly thanks so much for your custom it is greatly appreciated. Im so happy you enjoyed our food. I will be sure to up the prawn cracker size going forward and you are welcome to a couple free bags on your next order!
Thanks for taking the time on such a special evening to leave a review!
Happy New Year!

Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreat village used to be the go to Chinese. Unfortunately, now under new ownership, that isnāt the case.
On the 10th of November, we ordered hot and sour soup, a combination starter, sweet and sour king prawn with soft noodles, crispy shredded beef with fried rice, house special curry with salt and pepper chips and pineapple fritters. After 2 hours and 15 minutes, decided to call the restaurant for an update and was told it was on the way, it arrived 10 minutes after that. No acknowledgment of delay or apology from either the restaurant or the delivery driver. Fair enough, probably busier than normal. No biggy as long as the food is decent.
Hot and sour soup was delicious. Combination starter was missing sweet and sour and was just okay. All side dishes were fine apart from the chips which were cold and tasted burnt. In fact all of our main dishes tasted burnt. They looked fine but the curry especially was inedible due to the strong burnt flavour.
Itās a shame but overall, poor delivery service and even poorer food. Main meals were fit for the bin so huge waste of money as itās more expensive than the average Chinese.
Wonāt be going again and wonāt recommend. Would say youāre better off going to Leeās Cantonese in...
Read moreDon't go here of a whim. Thought I would try it wish I hadn't. Prices are ridiculous, £15 for special fried rice and chicken to take away. A guy came in to pick up his order of special fried rice and curry sauce, was £9.45 absolute rip off for some sauce and rice. Food is very average and my salt and pepper chicken was just dry chicken with lettuce at the bottom. Who puts lettuce in it and no onions? You get a small portion for what is way overpriced food. Didn't even get free prawn crackers. I never review anything but I wouldn't just stop off here like I did. The owner a lady was also very rude to her staff, a lady came to collect her order and was inside seconds before the owner said to a young waitress 'are you not going to ask what she has come to collect' this is a tiny restaurant the size of a living room so everyone heard, putting people down like that is not somewhere I wanted to spend my money and was well out of order, the waitress went red and must have felt very small she was only a young girl. Don't believe all these reviews, the place is extremely clicky and you can tell the owner only cares for her locals. So many better...
