Heart In Hand — Restaurant in England

BEST Gastro pub we’ve ever visited. We were only staying in the area for 2 days, accidentally came across it and ended up having lunch and dinner on both days … even had delicious cake and coffee there just before we left to return home to Holland. The food will match any good restaurant, and the wines are excellent both in terms of choice and quality … both food and wines are friendly priced … by the way, they also serve a great range of beers and real ales. The ambiance is relaxed jolly and fun, which stimulates easily-flowing conversations and lots of laughter … the place is tastefully decorated and there’s a large well-maintained garden at the back with lots of sunny and shaded places to sit to enjoy your food and drinks … even the toilets are clean and well-serviced. The owners, Darren and Claire, are really special, as is their son Harry … super-welcoming, very friendly and superb service … and these are the values they have instilled in all of their staff … all focused on giving their customers a lovely experience. We will return for sure next time we’re in that part of the UK, and would make a detour to visit … highly recommend others to...

Used to be a lovely pub when Steve and Sheila ran it . As for now, I’ve felt very unwelcome every time I’ve gone in there. Last night I was in there with my wife and family for a few drinks and on our way out the vile landlady started swearing shouting accusations at me when I hadn’t actually done anything wrong but both the landlord and landlady had been drinking all afternoon and seemed pretty intoxicated and violent. As soon as I replied Darren the landlord jumped out his seat and couldn’t wait to hit me . His son also came running round from the other side of the bar and they both tried to get to me to do more damage but I managed to get out with the help of my family. During all of this they were very aggressive to my family and wife all of who had done nothing wrong. Will not be going back. As for the cctv that they have, the police now have it and have confirmed that darren hit me . It really is a good job they have...

Gave it a go after recently seeing a number of great reviews. Really disappointed and won't be returning anytime soon.

Booked a table for 6pm Tuesday evening for 4 of us including our 7 year old daughter. Arrived just before and was told by the waitress she'd be straight over to get our drinks. Ordered drinks at the first opportunity, 6.20 and asked for the food menu. Had to ask again for the menu as the waitress never returned. Despite a large number of empty tables outside we ordered food and were told there was a bit of a wait. Our food was served nearly 90 minutes after ordering with a brief "Sorry for the Wait".
