2 of 2 - Again food quility is very poor. Breakfast is over cooked and lacked basic care on quality, pictures attached regarding this as every time I order food because my children are hungry i know it will be over cooked cold food. Even when ordering on a quiet day like today. Egg looks like it was scrapped of a wall and bacon resembled streaky bacon more then back bacon. 1 of 2 Regular customer Due to being the closest soft play. On several occasions i have had mixed experiences some good some bad. But the most recent time i feel i have to write a review, The 1 member of staff was over worked in the soft play area, due to it being summer holidays and most of the tables are full. Food took 40 minutes to come out. Understandably it's busy and being from the food industry i get it, but the quality of the food was terrible. Kids meal was wrong (due to wrong meal being selected by staff) and the snap back attitude of (thats what it says on the reciep) by a different member of staff when bringing the food, is unacceptable. All meals was barely edible. Garlic bread was black and burnt one side and cold and white on the other. Food was barely warm parts hot and other parts cold, you can tell when chips and chicken strips have been redipped into a fryer. I refuse to order the carvery due to the dryness of the meat on several visits Either they are under staffing. Under training or not hiring acceptable kitchen staff. Several visits to both heath Farm. And plough Inn (next closest wacky warehouse) the plough Inn service and food quality is miles better on visits

Play area staff member, girl with glasses and bad teeth was rudely abrupt and hands were filthy. The play area is old, boring, dirty and out dated. Genuinely question if it passed a proper safety inspection or ever been deep cleaned. The food is microwaved. Microwave mash, microwave roast potato and granular gravy. The meat from the carvery was dry. Paying extra for large carverys only gets you 2 pre cooked pigs in blankets reheated by microwave. The waiteress were overly intrusive both by shouting each other while walking past or repeatedly interrupting table conversation to ask if everything is ok. While eating you also get forced to listen to staff members who aren't working shouting those who are to engage in personal conversation while you're eating. It genuinely feels like Hanley Wetherspoons just in a more picturesque area. Beautiful area, terrible management and hygiene standards. While trying to create a steady bar income and profit from food you're forced to hear bar chatter. Toby Carvery in talke is much better. Check out the "good reviews" and make you're own opinion on the quality expected by such "5star" reviewers 🤭🤣

Kid friendly which is great, perfect play area for 3-8 year olds. Kids food was good they cleared their plates. The girl on at the Wacky Warehouse was lovely, she could have done with another person helping her. However, the food took nearly 1 hour to arrive and the adult meals were extremely disappointing. The large fish was dry and crumbly, it came as 2 regular fishes. The other adult meal was a large mixed grill which again was shocking, the chicken (pictures) looked more like crackling and was inedible. The sausages weren’t anything to shout about and was disappointing. The Wacky Warehouse is a little tired could do with a refresh and the toilets are in need of a total refurbish! Please do note that the girl working in wacky warehouse did want to make amends for the meal, which was very kind.

Always had a good experience here previously and even posted positive reviews. However unfortunately our last visit wasn't so great. Had a table booked in the play area side 18.4.25 Whilst eating my food I noticed my friends little boy ( unaccompanied ) over at the exit door. A member of was at the gate inside of play area and there was no one waiting to get out. So I assume all was ok, however kept a watchful eye. To then see a women on the other side of the door walk over to the 'exit' door. (Now im assuming there's an 'in' door and 'exit' door for a reason, exit door goes out of the area and 'in' door pushes 'in' towards the play area. I'm fully aware that this wouldn't stop a child getting out if door was opened but it makes it a little trickier. ) The staff member then reached up unlocked the door from the wall to let the lady in, pushing the door wide open to the exit the lady stepped aside and they both watched the 5 YEAR old little boy walk out! I ran across the room as luckily I had been watching and managed to get him before he ran out onto the car park he wanted his scooter which was outside! I asked the member of staff why she had opened the door whilst a child was stood there unattended, not to mention it was the door that shouldn't be letting ppl 'in' through anyway! She informed that she 'was going to come and let us know, that he had gone' ???? She opened the door let the 5 year old out and then was going to come and let us know ? That's not good enough !!!!!! Our children are our responsibility an we as parents should know where they are at all times and luckily we did on this occasion. However you do not expect to see a member of staff open a door and watch a child of 5 years walk through and off ! They should be safe to a degree ! The lady walking through the door was no better , stepping aside for him ! I would of questioned the whole thing ! Staff member should of asked the lady to use other door whilst little boy was by exit door, or staff member should of asked the lady to wait until the little boy had moved away from door. Or staff member could of engaged with little boy asking him to step aside, if he was ok or then come to find us to tell us he's at the gate waiting to get out ! Not come tell us once he's gone lol !!! Anything other than letting him out on his own...

Alarm bells were ringing when we arrived at the pub, on a weekend, peak time, yet the pub was dead and as we were purchasing our first drinks, a man from a different table approached the bar to complain that they'd been waiting 25 minutes for desserts!

Nevertheless we collected our drinks, sat down and ordered food within 10 minutes.

10 minutes later 3 meals arrived together. After 10 minutes of waiting and the 3 people half way through their meals we asked where the other 4 were, we were told "they were being plated now". 6/7 minutes later we'd still not received them so after complaining we received the other 4 two minutes later. By this time the first 3 were more or less finished. One of us had the burger that should of had a jug of cheese sauce inside and on top of a hollowed out bun. The bun had a gaping big crater in it but was empty! Why?? When asked where the sauce was we were told the cheese sauce was on the burger inside. The menu clearly states the cheese sauce should be on the burger and also on the hollowed out bun "to dip fries in". After we pointed that out again the waitress returned with a tiny jug of cheese sauce, absolutely pathetic.

Our other major complaint was the katsu curry. As stated on the menu, crispy chicken strips, curry sauce and rice... Topped with spring onions (none), red chilli's (none), mint yoghurt (none) and naan bread (none again). So basically we had two katsu curry's with half the dishes missing! I don't know who was cooking and preparing our food, I think maybe it was the cleaner. If it was the "chef" then they need to sit down and learn the actual menu before sending out food, or just be fired... Because they are absolutely clueless! An absolute disgrace of a night. My mother's 76th birthday meal, completely ruined. We won't be returning and we'll be warning anyone else thinking of going. It's no wonder the place was empty at peak time on a weekend! If only we knew beforehand what we know now. Awful...

Not the best experience. After choosing meals and drinks, then paying using the Greene Kinge app, we waited 30 minutes before going up to the bar to ask where were our meals and drinks?. We were then told that the order had not gone through, just as the first of our meals were brought to the table! So, clearly a lie. 3 of the meals were cold (the 4th a carvery) and had clearly been standing for some time. The manager then brought the drinks over whilst complaining about everything, and everyone except herself, of course. A member of staff came over and asked "was everything ok with the meals?" And, when I replied no, she said she would get the manager, the manager sent her back with a message offering us a dessert as compensation. I am not a dessert person so that was declined. After a further period, the manager, who again blamed everyone but herself, came over and offered a gift card as partial recompense. We were not impressed by the managers inability to accept responsibility for the below par service, the captain is where the buck stops, in my opinion. To be fair to the restaurant, although this is not the first instance of poor standards, there have been more good times than bad. Make of that what you will. Ok, I thought I would give it another go. Unfortunately the only thing that has improved is the Guinness. We had 2 carvery. 1st of all, good luck getting served! After 15 minutes I had to ask the guy at the bar if the carvery was actually being offered. I was told that "he" was still getting so e things ready, this despite the fact that everything was already in place and had been for some time. Frankly, if it was being given away, it would be too expensive. Hard, really harder than raw carrot's paired with other veg that had been boiled to mush. Everything else had clearly either been there for a loooong time and was dried up. Maybe I'll leave it another 6 months, if it is...
