Just taken friend for Festive Afternoon Tea (offer from Groupon.) Was a wintry day so decided to start with an additional extra helping of homemade carrot & coriander soup. Absolutely delicious and warmed us up a treat. This was followed by a lovely tray each of assorted sandwiches, cakes and freshly made cream scones and lots of tea. It couldn’t be faulted. The cafe was clean, bright, with a good atmosphere and very reasonable prices. The Staff were absolutely lovely, attentive when needed and the food supplied exceeded expectations, particularly on the Groupon offer and we emerged a few hours later to bright sunshine. I’m glad I bought another voucher as I can see me revisiting again soon, but also making it a regular venue. Well worth making a visit,...

Brilliant little cafe, with indoor & outdoor seating. We've eaten here many times in recent years, usually after a stroll around the park. Even though it's only a short distance away from the children's play area, it's tucked away behind buildings, and is therefore relatively quiet and peaceful. The food is reasonably priced and of a good quality. Even on sunny days like today, when the park is very busy, the cafe doesn't seem to get too crowded. We've always been able to get served and seated straight away. Overall a great place to stop for a drink and a bite to eat when...

Would be good if dog friendly, considering it's associated with an animal study college and the other cafe at the park is dog friendly. They must lose business from that. Food is good, pasties/sausage rolls good unless you get it "heated", ruins it as they just put in microwave. Would be good if the outdoor space had some undercover seating after all its a rainy part of the world. I would have rather gave them this feedback on email or through fb so they can consider sorting it rather than me leaving bad feedback, but no way of contacting them, so another bad...

It started bouncing down with rain so people went inside to take cover. However the staff approached a lady with her dog who had sat down with her lunch and told her to leave because dogs were not allowed inside. She understood however explained it was due to the rain. She asked if she could at least finish her soup but the staff refused and told her to leave. Personally I could not see the issue since it’s not like the cafe is carpeted or unsuitable for dogs. To me this was simply ridiculous.

As usual this place does not know how to make a flat white. Very bland tasting coffee. This cafe really struggles with service specially on a Saturday morning when a parkrun takes place. “A flat white is a blend of micro-foamed milk poured over a single or double shot of espresso. This microfoam is steamed milk infused with air, to create a smooth and velvety texture and creamy taste. Precise pouring and steaming of the microfoam is essential in making a flat white.”
