What a shame, the moza has gone down hill. We have been going to the moza for a few years now. Will not be going back, shocking service and food. Firstly when we got there just after 6 pm the lights were off no music and it just felt flat.
Shown to our table. Waited for menus and drinks. Took a while and we were the only table of 5 in the place. ( the whole night)
The waiter was not very welcoming and we almost felt like we were an inconvenience, rushing us to order.
We have popadoms, and starters these were fine, until we were asked to keep our cutlery from our starters!
The mains plate was brought out cold and almost thrown at us. The mains were very disappointing very small portions. The garlic chicken curry with its 4 small bits of chicken and not a garlic in sight tasted of greasy gravy! The naan tasted like shop brought
The waiter took our plates with out asking how anything was, again like we were an inconvenience.
Asked icecream or coffee these were brought out. The coffee was instant which was disappointing when they have a great coffee machine sat there.
We left the table and the waiter brought over our bill which we had been charged for water even though we asked for tap water.
I voiced how unhappy and disappointed we were with the food and being charged for water even when we had asked for tap water.
He said we should have said something before. We pointed out we were not asked.
He did take the water off the bill and offered us a £10 voucher which we declined as we would not be going back. Shame, really as it was such a...
Read moreThe food quality is somewhat spotty. I've had a lot of curries that end up arriving to my door after over an hour waiting. I let it slide as the driver told me that most days there is only one delivery driver. Rather odd for one of Derby telegraphs "hidden gems".
It was a let down to see big pools of oil in the top of the curry. It put me off and I stopped ordering.
And now for something completely surprising.
I was surprised when shopping at the other side of the road from here to see what looked like an older member of staff attack a young waiter!
And let me make this clear, I've edited this review in length as to not appear like some disgruntled employee, as I'm hoping the young person I saw, leave his position at the business. But I thought I would also add my food experience as well so that you had no doubt that supporting a place like this isn't even worth it when you get what you pay for, never mind the treatment of the staff.
If this is the level of professionalism, I can see why in the past this place was shut down for its bad hygiene. I'm just annoyed I gave the place a...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would. Terrible service and bland food. Placed a £30 order on justeat for delivery. Food arrived after an hour. Discovered the rice dishes were missing. Spent 10 mins trying to phone but couldn't get through. Drove there myself, told to wait outside for 15 mins while they sorted it. When they bought out the order again, I checked before leaving and was now missing a curry dish so had to go back in again to get it sorted. Eventually got home with the correct order 2 hours after originally placing order. Food was bland and there was no heat in the Jalfrezi, couldn't tell the difference between that and the Bhuna as both were so bland and tasted the same. Meant to be chicken tikka curries, and it definitely wasn't. Will never use again and would not recommend to anyone. Despite all the hassle no offer of a refund or a free dish or anything. Terrible customer service and terrible experience. If I hadn't been so hungry and it wasn't so late I'd of taken the lot back and asked for a refund. Warning to anyone considering using...
