Spectacular find.

This place has been going many years, and succeeding for a reason. The passion and talent of the team running it is clear.

Food was delightful, cost was reasonable, service tremendously welcoming (could have upsold me on the wine, but didn't, and the choice was superb).

It's high quality sea food done well. I'd bet the meat options were quality to, but no way was I passing up the fish to try it. Especially with the quality of the white wine on offer for a very reasonable price.

Clean, this applies to the facilities as well, but accessibility might be an issue for the facilities which are at the back of the establishment and up a hefty step with a bit of a squeeze past a large main table. Nice traditional vibe in the restaurant. Lovely atmosphere of diners enjoying themselves. Not a huge amount of tables, so quite intimate, but you're not on top of each other.

I took my wife here for her birthday last night, it was a pleasant experience, however we did feel young as the average age was 65-70 plus. The place is tastefully decorated very small and intimate but ok. The seafood was very fresh and the mussels were outstanding, the only problem we had with it all was it was all very bland, i mean very bland, if you like that thing you like that thing, but it didn’t even taste like anything was seasoned when cooked. It had no flare, colour or imagination. The deserts were once again bland and boring. But it’s our own personal choice its clean friendly and very small. We would not go back based on the age of the clientele...

Service was very efficient and polite without being overbearing or intrusive. The food was top-notch. Fish is a real hassle to do well and they made it truly delicious. Definitely only a place for special treats (unless they do an early bird deal - hint, hint!) because neither does it pretend to be, nor is it, cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for.
