What a Gem, found Karmic Cakery today. Close to Spittal beach so ideal for a stop off. KC is a vegan cakery/cafe that opens on Saturday and Wednesday for great food, I had the seitan kebab with chunky homemade chips and the wife had curried cauliflower soup, both absolutely delicious. We took a slice of custard cream cake away with home made custard creams, superb. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and soft drinks available with the added bonus of the Bear Claw micro brewery next door if you want a pint which you can drink in either business or on seating outside.A very warm friendly place and we can't wait for...

Had previously been bought cake from here but not visited in person until now. Purchased a lemon and strawberry cake for a leaving party. A delicious cake and such beautiful attention to presentation. Didn't realise the Karmic Cakery is also a café and so close to Spittal Beach. Good soup-of-the-day (roasted red pepper & butternut squash) with a warm roll. The tandoori chicken-style naanwich has really good flavour. The orange cake slice was very good too.
