KFC Scarborough- Market Lane — Restaurant in England

Went here on the 25th June, ordered at drivethrough, everything was good as it should be, only few minutes wait and food was fine. But what a difference on our visit today. Decided to go in and order so we could view the menu better, There was only 1 person in front so no queuing, but the guy clearly didn't understand english(not a youth either) we ordered 2 large buckets for 1 person, were asked if we wanted sides,got 1 corn and 1 Coleslaw, and 2 drinks. To take out. We had been given wrong drink but let it go as small mistake. But when we got outside and opened our meal we had both been given small meals, so I went inside and told him that I had asked and paid for 2 large meals, and he just tried disputing it, again I said I asked for large so he then got a bag of fries and said that is large size, I said I didn't want extra fries I wanted the chicken portions I had paid for and he just looked at me, so I counted the pieces of chicken out and said only 3, should be 4.... he then went through the back and brought the 2 portions that were missing, The chicken was very tender, but the batter was hard and very salty, Needless to say won't be visiting again until the reviews start to improve, what on earth has happened to this place in less than three months, can't the company see they need to be in there sorting things out if they want...

I ordered on just eat, and although there are no complaints for the delivery the food was very disappointing. Firstly, I was missing gravy I ordered. Its not something that should've been overlooked as I had a small order for just me and my partner. The most disappointing part about my food was the quality. The chicken was soggy and had a bad smell, over all tasted peculiar aswell as the chips. We had one piece before deciding to not eat any more. In the time that my food was delivered, wich was around 5 minutes, there was no possible way it couldve lost freshness in that timeframe. I've refrained from reviewing about this KFC for a while, but whilst I'm writing this one I'll mention my previous experience I had. When I went to sit in, the food was perfect, no missing items, it was fresh. The only downside was the cleanliness. Each table that was empty was still full of rubbish, or hadn't been wiped. In the 45 minutes I had been sat I didn't see a single staff memeber come out to clean tables even though there was hardly any customers. This seemed to be the case a few times I'd gone in to eat. I am Surprised at the low ratings given on here, The only negative I see about this restaurant is a lack of staff, which is a problem with this industry all over the country and is more an issue with people being comfortable claiming g benefits than working. I visited Cayton Bay today and had lunch at the KFC. Yes, there was a longer than average wait as only three staff on as discussed. When I got the food it was crispy and tasty and not greasy, food was great. A drink was forgotten but hardly a cause for complaint like so.e of the entitled reviewing here makes an issue about. Simply go up and ask for the drink. One young fella named Dillan was working very hard at the front desk by himself doing his best to get through the orders quickly and I was pleased to see that the majority of customers were showing patience instead of whinging like some of the reviewers on here. I would say to the management that this lad Dillan has a good work ethic and pleasant manner with the customers and is an employee you want to keep. I hope you manage to address the staffing issue and the 1.8 average rating on here is not the service I received today and seems an unfair...
