KFC Workington - Bassemer Way — Restaurant in England

The last two times I went was awful exactly same services I went 2nd time to give it a chance thinking it was just a one of bad day. Nope same crack I waited 50mins for my food my mate got his first and he ate it be time I got mine he was waiting for me n took another 30mins tgats how long i waited the staff just stand around like zombies they look like they don't no what to do n walk around like snails the attitude stinks it's like they don't want to b there or hungover they were huffing and puffin then the manager came out doing all there jobs went little bit quicker n it's funny how it's speeds up wen the boss comes out they need to leave if there not up to it because its peoples food especially chicken if there not bothered I wouldn't b surprised if someone ends up with food poison cz they not bothered the tables is full of rubbish not cleaning up chicken bones all over the tables at least 5 tables I could see and outside the bins over full an there is food and litter all over the car park u managers need to sack the lot if they don't book the ideas up managers are to blame aswell for letting this happen Workington get a grip and sort out ur KFC get staff who are actually qualified making food don't get staff because its ur mates or family or feel sorry for them they need proper staff who have the quality skills or someone is going to end up really ill in hospital because these young ones stop babysitting them n do ur job with out a miserable...

Well, the other reviews are not wrong !

Drive thru closed . 6 very loud , rowdy kids , shouting , throwing things etc , staff should have removed them from the restaurant.

Tried to order at the self-service area, but the item I wanted didn't show up on the board. There was 1 staff member present who was tidying for closing ( it was 9pm states restaurant closes at 10 pm). I stood at the till no staff , people queuing behind me . Eventually, I asked the person tidying up if anyone was serving . They shouted of someone in the back ( they were in the back talking). (The staff member cleaning then locked the front door and asked us to use the side door. ) They came to the front and looked at the other staff member,didn't acknowledge me !! I then said, " Are you serving?" I asked for an item, and they then had to go into the back to see if they had it !. I cancelled my order in the end as I wasn't going to purchase food that had probably sat there and wasn't fresh KFC is expensive, and if I'm purchasing food here I want it fresh .

Staff not interested in customers . I have since read the reviews, and I agree how is it still open . I won't be back. I'd rather travel to Carlisle. Do management not read these poor reviews? Penrith KFC was appalling, and that closed eventually. If no one acts on these poor reviews, surely this will happen to this...

If you go when it's quiet it's ok. But they will palm you off with cold food, make sure you request fresh. Shouldn't have to I know.

We thought we'd give it another chance on 30th June and there was hardly anything left on the boards. We went to the till to order to be told there was hardly any food left and the lad walked away. We stood and watched the chaos for around 15 mins as a young lad said an order number quietly, no one came to collect so he walked off and left it. Then couldn't remember what order it was when a other member of staff asked him what it was. He just shrugged and walked off. He had no clue what was going on. A lady came to the till and apologized and said look we've no food and the waite is really long. She was the first member of staff that looked like she knew what was going on. I felt really sorry for her. We left and went somewhere else.

They have very few staff. The staff that are there are either under trained and not capable or so fed up of not enough staff, not enough food and sick of the abuse that get that they've given up. If KFC don't change something it won't be here long which is a shame.

The lady who tried to serve us was lovely. I wish I had her name.

Like I said unless it's during the day and it's quiet. I'd avoid it. Definitely don't go on a Friday...
