Vulcan Park — Attraction in Workington

Such a lovely park to stroll around or sit quietly in the sun ☀. There is a play area for children and it looks very clean as does the rest of the park. I chose to take a rest here after my lunch with friends I made that go to age UK, especially now that we have glorious sunny days. It's a lovely place to visit after going around the shops which are very close by and so is the bus station to which I use to travel back home after a day of fresh air. I didn't spot any toilets but then again I wasn't looking for one but I will update if I find out that they do and if not then this should be addressed immediately as it would be handy to have it's own facilities. I will be coming here more often now that it's getting better weather, why not find out for yourself if you ever pass...

The play ground is terrible, why can't Workington have a play ground like Keswick! I just cant understand people giving it more than 2 stars have folks not been to a nice park the grounds are fine but the apparatus in the park is woeful, take a look at other towns and city parks and I think you will see how sort changed and the lack of vision Workington has this is a missed opportunity the park needs an overhaul this could bring massive benefits to the community and...

Lovely park in the middle of Workington that is well maintained by the town council. There's a very nice kids play area, newly refurbished tennis courts and plenty of paths for a walk and flower beds displaying some really beautiful flowers. There are several interesting monuments in the park and works of public art. Parking is free and is easy, the park is surrounded by a disk controlled parking zone.
