KFC Ashington - Morpeth Road — Restaurant in England

Went 25/6/25. Ordered 2 mini fillet meals and a Zinger Tower box meal (£28). Got it, didn't check, and as usual it was wrong. Burger came without sauce, cheese or hash brown (see photo). Chips the usual lukewarm, cardboard tat with burnt chip spice. I have no idea why they sell them - I've never seen anyone eat a whole portion since they changed them; all three portions we got we threw away - if there was a 10p (or even 1p) discount for no chips I'd take it every time. Everything else was lukewarm at best, though apparently the strips were ok. I wish I'd gone to the Ash Dene down the road, or if I just wanted to consume some calories because I was hungry, a sandwich from anywhere would probably be better and better much cheaper.

Went Sunday 7/7/24. Ordered a couple of box meals plus hot wings and popcorn chicken. £32. Waited for 5 mins at drive through window as we'd taken them by surprise by ordering when they were open. Got home. My box meal, which should have been Zinger Tower was a fillet tower with BBQ sauce. Rank IMO and I didn't eat it. Chips are rubbish now and no amount of burnt chips spice can convince me otherwise. Hot wings were all batter - like eating scraps from a chippy but more expensive. I don't think I've gotten what I ordered from any KFC in England that I've been to in the last 5 years, maybe 10 - I've either had to check it and go in and get stuff replaced or taken wrong food home if i didn't. Not good, not fast, not cheap. My dog is happy to finish off...

Firstly they know most calls are complaints so they generally won't answer. Secondly they screw you on the drive through. Asked for condiments, forget it 90% of the time. I just bought 5 meals, 2 minutes later I get home to find all the fries are not cooked and oozing oil. Now of course they won't answer the phone so I have to decide if it's worth taking all the stuff back which I guess most times people don't, result for them. If you do get through all they do is offer you 20% off you next visit. So if I spend an hour trying to get through and next ime I go in to just get say 1 meal I'll end up with £1 off to compensate for nearly £10 worth of fries being crap. All round excellent!! All KFC's should take note of how this branch is run, called today at the drive-thru, ordered, paid and received our meal but then we ended up parking up so I could use the toilet. From arriving to leaving the staff were first class with friendly polite manners, super helpful with assisting me to the disabled bathroom with opening doors and making me feel safe. The meal we received was piping hot and well cooked and the first ones to get the gravy right, which shouldn't really be something that needs commenting on but rarely does a KFC that we have visited get it so spot on like this one does. I would totally recommend visiting it and I would go out of my way to use this before another branch and I live in Yorkshire lol 😆. Well done...
