Bought a family bucket meal takeaway via drive through, got it to my families home, we started eating and one of my family members started choking, as the 14 piece bonus bucket, from which he was eating contained a very long hair that became part of the chicken fillet and batter. Also the sweetcorn wasn't so good in the meals bucket and in a meal box, and the chips hmmmm.
When there hair was found and we prevented a choking as some had been swallowed with the chicken in batter and it was really long. We all stopped eating our meals. This affected the whole family takeout experience.
So we returned the hair and the fillet breat slice, binned all but the sweetcorn as it was not great. I spoke to manager J, who I offered 2 solutions too, 1 being going to food hygiene and standards, or repayment of meal, J was very understanding calm and could see the issue with the hair and was very concerned! He repaid the cost of the meal bought was agreeable that the extra training (not firing) we requested and that it would would be received by all staff, and hair nets will be checked every shift to prevent this further happening.
J also gave us a code for a free 14 piece family bonus box.
I have to say this young manager J did a very good job, he took into account everything we had chosen to speak of, with myself being the families concerned voice and for how he handled it deserves recognition.
However what he doesn't know is that I know someone who will go through time and time again to see if the improvements are made, hair nets are worn etc, the food will be investigated not eaten and if there's a further issue it will certainly be taken to the food standards and hygiene specialists.
So KFC Yeovil you have been given a huge opportunity to make your food preparations better, and I can only pray you up your game.
I wish you all the best, you will be monitored publicly and...
Read moreI love KFC, but oh, my oh my oh my oh my, is this the absolute bottom of the deepest darkest abyss's of KFC's I've ever had the displeasure of going to. We arrived on Sunday evening and could immediately tell we were in for a treat, the only cashier, who you could see was very stressed, we'd later find out because "the manager had walked off", took our order after 15 minutes and to his credit was very apologetic. After ordering, which also took a while due to the cashier not being able find the bbq chicken wrap button, we waited and then waited and then waited, which in a way was nice because it gave us all time to reflect on all the things wrong with this KFC. I'd say we'd broken their back with our order, but I think it's fair to say their back had been broken the day this store was opened, under-staffed, under-trained and a clear lack of leadership, I feel sorry for anyone who works there. Most subsequent orders had either something wrong with them or were too cold, this included my own order which I felt like I should double check just incase there was something wrong, low and behold... I had to ask for another set of hot wings, because 2 * 2=4 kids. These problems just compounded each other and we saw this poor cashier get ready to implode, no amounts of free bottles of pop could appease these customers, least of all us. The battle had been lost, and we walked away with our now cold and soggy KFC, friless and too scared to ask for them dare it meant another second in the sess pit that is Yeovil KFC. Sort it out or close it, preferably the former but realisticly the...

If health and safety walked in they would have a field day.. floor was sticky to walk on, bins for customers use overflowing at one stage until a staff member decided to use the edge of a tray to ram the waste in a bit more, then this didn’t work so the said member of staff pulled out some of the cartons and went outside to the waste bin by front door and rammed the items in.. all very well but as soon as she came in the seagulls pulled out the garbage which they must have done earlier looking at the rubbish on the ground round it… then our food was declared ready… the chicken burger I requested minus the lettuce came and was literally a dry bun and a manky piece of chicken (not cold but neither was it hot) a very small bag of some sort of chips which were not at all tasty. My husband had a 2 piece meal, when I say 2 piece it was more like 1 piece cut in half and a similar bag of chip things which were cold, chicken was very dry and the famous coating was replaced by something indescribable making us think it had come from Icelands across the car park… we would have complained but a guy sat on a table across from us with his family tried that twice and got a few shrugs and a bag of food to compensate which he opened then left on the table and he and his family walked out… all in all not good in fact it was a terrible experience so won’t be going back… not good for a legend that was Kentucky...
