Starting this off by saying it wasnt all bad and there was one lovely staff member that did try to correct the situation.

Went out with my mum and boyfriend for some food and drinks halfway through having the food and almost finished a pitcher i got rudely stopped midway eating by a member of staff demarnding to see my id now this is after i had already finished the pitcher given to me this member of staff is called merlin and he didnt ask nicely at all im 26 and dont look at all under 18 and was not asked when given the drinks but asked when they had been finished and i was in the middle of eating so i did as asked whilst making a comment of its a little late now as the drinks have been drank to be asking for is. I got out my purse to show my id merlin then demanded i got the id compleatly out to show him the back as clearly he must have fault it was a fake. Once he had got it out of my purse and checked it he haded it back and stormed off back to the bar there was no apology given by this staff member called merlin. He ruined mine my mums and my partners entire evening by how rude he was i would not recommend going there to anyone anymore. My mum takes her learners as shes a care worker to there all the time and after this she probably wont again it was beyond uncalled for and extremely unprofessional for merlin to have approached are table whilst eating like this and again we had already finished the drinks and im clearly 26... i think he needs training on how to approch customers correctly lets hope this issue gets corrected and merlin gets spoken to about the way he...

Absolutely disgusted today at the blatant discrimination by this establishment today. Went out for the day with my son and decided to go for lunch at The Bell. My son has autism and is very sensory with food so we have to take a packed lunch everywhere we go as he will only eat foods that have been prepared at home. We ordered coffees, sat outside and then went inside to order food where a staff member informed me that he was not allowed to stay inside while eating his lunch. After spending 2 hours this morning preparing him for the change of earing lunch out, I then had to explain to him why we weren't allowed to stay inside the premises. The staff member offered no explanation at all as to why we were not allowed to stay and just said that we had to leave. My son was extremely upset and so was I to be honest....we have been to a number of greene king pubs and it has never been an issue. He was wearing a sunflower lanyard as well which clearly indicates a hidden disability. I cannot believe that such a big organisation such as greene king would allow such discrimination against such a young child. Even worse as the the table adjacent to where we were about to sit had a table of people including a child eating food from Ella's Kitchen Pouches which are most definitley not purchased from the pub itself. So this was a blatant case of discrimination against a child with autism. I would never, ever return again to this...

Abysmal service today. We ordered from the table using the app and although our food arrived, our soft drinks did not. We asked many times for our drinks, but only received apologies saying they were busy behind the bar. We asked twice more during our meal, even getting up and finding staff, we were very thirsty and kept being told how very busy they were. We finally finished our meals and a girl came over to say sorry although she still didn't have our drinks and offered us free puddings. We really had enough at this point, it was one orange & lemonade and one lime & lemonade, hardly difficult, everyone else seemed to be getting their orders. We had enough by this point, and said no, we just wanted our money back for the drinks (even though we had pre-tipped them on the app based on a % of the bill) the girl then returned quickly with cash for the price of both drinks, with the actual drinks as well, when we were clearly leaving. We took our money and rejected the drinks. It may not sound much, just 2 drinks, but it honestly ruined our meal as we were so thirsty and getting cross as it seemed to be just us being ignored. To top it all, it seems our edges of our table hadn't been cleaned properly from earlier, I got to the car only to see someone else's sticky food firmly stuck to my top! We won't be back to The Bell, it was an all round...

Have been to the bell inn now on numerous occasions, a couple of times have been turned away due to full capacity and having not reserved a table, so I would recommend reserving a table most of the time. I have had breakfast here and the meal was very good though it did take awhile to get served even though it was empty. Main times I have come here were for lunch and dinner. Meals are very good and at a good value. Staff are friendly and always willing to help and also check to make sure everything is okay. In regards to venue I do believe a makeover is now needed as the seating area and tables are starting to look worn and dated. There is outside seating as well as a small play area out back for children. Parking is at the rear. All in all I would recommend a visit.

The Bell Inn, a pub to visit. Staff were friendly and professional, the pub was clean and staff were quick to clear up after leaving guests. The food was excellent and made even better with the Friday special 'BOGOF'. All left with very full bellies and not an empty wallet! The place was tastefully decorated for the festive season and it was really nice to see the local community Xmas present donation point filling up nicely. We were mightily impressed with the condiments dresser, setting all food places could adopt. The outside seating and play areas were good and clean and the carpark was very well lit. The only low point was the bowling lane, very tired and turned into a junk room. Overall, highly recommend and will visit again if in the area.

Nice warm welcome. £3.50 for soft drimks- rip off!! Kids katsu meal- turned up without the katsu, when I queried it I was told there was none- rip off as I could have just paid for a kids nugget meal!!! Halloumi sizzling platter- all the veg was black and burnt, as we're a few of the halloumi strips. Salad was pre- dressed (didn't warn me/wasn't on the menu). It's a very busy and squashed pub with no atmosphere just piles of people squeezed into small spaces. £25 for 1 adult and 2 kids meals is pretty expensive given that the food is clearly just microwave food.
