KFC — Restaurant in England

I dislike Starbeck KFC for so many reasons, and I haven't been to Starbeck KFC in years, but was craving it one day, and we couldn't be bothered to spend 2 hours going to York and back so stupidly tried Starbeck and wasted our money.

The inside is absolutely tiny with not much parking outside at all. We had to park down the side of The Prince.

I walked in and didn't know who was waiting for food or who was waiting to order. Once I figured it out and reached the till, I don't know if the member of staff was new, but I memorised the name of the meal I wanted off the menuboards, and she looked like I just spoke German. After a minute or so of her putting my order on the till, I paid and waited amongst what felt like a sea of around 6 separate customers for my food.

The quality of the food was so, so poor. To say it was a clearly busy tea time rush, the food was not good or fresh. All the mini fillets were SO SMALL and seemed dry, stale and chewy with overcooked, hard, crunchy coating. My corn seemed undercooked and wasn't boiling hot like it is in York.

They mixed up the sides - I'd asked for corn and rice, got corn and gravy and didn't realise until I got home (it's so small in there I didn't even have space to double check my order was correct in the bag). Popcorn chicken was lukewarm and the bottle of 7up wasn't cold. The chips were okay but there was so many scrappy little ones.

My partner and I both said we'd never go there again and we'd both rather spend the time, effort and fuel to go to York for KFC. Would not go here again even if it was the last KFC on earth....

Honestly the worst kfc in the world! Can't get the order correct!

Update 7/11/2020: tried again. And they got the order wrong. Got it through just eat so very hard to complain. Rang the shop and noone answers the phone.

Honestly heed the bad reviews. I have been to so many kfc's in my life. And generally love the food, but this place is the worst kfc in the world and it pains me that this is my most local.

Nothing is worse than getting a meal delivered and it is wrong. It even has these stickers sealing the food saying its checked. On the outside a receipt, ironically, listing the food that isn't in the package. Its so disappointing explaining to the kids that the shop are so stupid they can't get an order correct.

Doesnt even deserve the 1 star but can't give it less.

Update: 10/03/24.

Unbelievably bad. Against my better judgement and out of desperation I tried again.

1st order just didn't turn up. Uber eats driver said KFC Harrogate just didn't give him order, so order got cancelled.

Reordered mainly now out of intrigue to see how badly they can do.

Second order missing items, popcorn chicken and 2 large gravy.

I can't reiterate how bad...

This is about what i just witness here couple of days ago....

The worst KFC ever, staff with no care towards customers, soggy chips, staff whitout carying about food safety and health safety, with pierciengs, fake nails, no beard snods, phones, touching with their hands the phones, their faces and not following hand washing procedure, touching food after touching something else and no hands washing, dirty equipments, long waits on food, rude and very aggresive general manager.. I was a general manager in KFC for 7 years but i did everything to make my customers happy to return and the delivery drivers also because they deliver your food for paying customers...this joint is no go , is filthy and no due care....no smiling from team members, attitude towards delivery drivers when they waiting for the orders or buying food from here to have a meal..

My advice is to AVOID this joint if you dont want to take food poisoning or something else.

P.S. My last store that i run for KFC had 4.7 stars on reviews, this joint have 2.9 stars, this stars says everything......NOT WELCOMING....
