We came in on Mother's Day and were swiftly sat down and had our drinks ordered, which was very fast service (although the drinks were very expensive!). After a few minutes we got our drinks and then we gave our food orders; Pollo Voldestana, Cannelloni Calebrese, Chef's Special Grande Ravioli, and Risotto con Pollo e Funghi. It was only a short wait for food, which was a nice surprise as it was very packed, we were expecting a much longer wait. All of the dishes were hot and tasty except for the Risotto. It was presented perfectly, Sprinkled with parmesan and coriander. However, to my surprise, it was not hot at all, lukewarm in the middle. The mushrooms were extremely soggy (I am aware they are soaked in white wine, but they should be cooked afterwards which gets rid of the sogginess) and raw. The chicken chunks however were very juicy and flavourful. The sauce itself was perfect, very well seasoned, and the perfect consistency, but I was let down by the rice also, which was unfortunately very hard and crunchy. I would have most likely asked for it to be cooked a bit more on a normal day, but as the waiters were very busy with the packed mother's day restaurant, I did not want to bother them with taking food back, so instead I shared some of the other food, which was all tremendously good. I do reccomend coming here, but I don't reccommend the risottos at the moment. I would reccommend the Grande Ravioli, it was beautiful. I will be coming back again to try some other dishes, and I highly look forward to it. I may even try the risotto again, as this could have been a one off experience. 4/5 stars, would reccommend!

Atmosphere: The restaurant boasts a pleasant ambiance with ample seating available. The atmosphere is welcoming and suitable for various occasions. A well-stocked cocktail bar adds to the dining experience, offering a range of drink options. Staff: The employees are friendly and attentive, striking a good balance between being helpful and respecting diners' privacy. They efficiently handle tasks such as bill presentation, table cleaning, and food service without being intrusive. Clientele: The establishment attracts a diverse crowd, with a noticeable focus on families. During our visit, we observed three separate groups celebrating birthdays, indicating its popularity for special occasions. Food: The cuisine is delicious and served promptly, ensuring a satisfying dining experience. Value: Prices are reasonable, offering good value for the quality of food and service provided. Facilities: A standout feature of the restaurant is its open kitchen, which allows diners to observe their meals being prepared. Overall, this restaurant offers a pleasant dining experience with tasty food, attentive service, and a comfortable atmosphere at fair prices. The addition of a cocktail bar and the open kitchen concept enhance the overall experience, providing both visual interest and transparency. It's particularly well-suited for family outings, celebrations, and those who appreciate seeing their food being prepared in a professional setting.

Visited here while I was visiting Dunstable. I'm from Leeds and run my own successful business and mostly traveling for business purpose and for that reason eat in a lot of Italian Restaurants. No Disrespect to Owners but My Very First Vibe When I Sat Down Wasn't that I Was In an Italian Restaurant. Every Owner Likes To Run His Business His Way. The Staff Speaking to Each Other in Romanian Regularly While Taking Our Order Which I Found as Disrespectful. Deal With The Customer While You're Taking Their Order Rather Than Discussing What You Did Last Night or I Did This Morning.... The Pizza Dough was Thick Which Wasn't Cooked Properly or Probably Cooked on High Head Because Our Pizzas were Cooked from the Top but From Inside Uncooked & Chewy+ Very Doughy. One of My Associates Had a Carbonara Pasta and He Was Not Really Happy and He Wanted to Return it Initially but Didn't Because We Were Short of Time. There was a Moment That Our Pints of Moretti were Sat on The Bar for Our 10 Minutes & The Staff Mainly Consisting of Girls Stood Next to The Kitchen Talking. May I Also Say that This Place was Busy When We Came In but Died Out By The Time We Get Out. One of Our Server Natalie was the Politest We Found as compared to Ana, Alexandra Etc. All in All I Would Say It's a Great Venue and The Management Needs a Bit More Concentration on Staff + Food. As I Mentioned Above No Disrespect But It Was My Own Personal Experience & I Ma Sharing It.

A Perfect Father's Day at La Bella Calabria: A Taste of Italy and Warmth Our Father's Day celebration at La Bella Calabria was nothing short of delightful, offering a truly memorable experience that perfectly blended exceptional food with a wonderfully inviting atmosphere. If you're looking for a restaurant that hits all the right notes for a special occasion, look no further. From the moment we stepped through the door, the atmosphere was genuinely warm and welcoming. Despite it being a busy Father's Day, the staff handled everything with a relaxed efficiency that made us feel immediately at ease. The decor at La Bella Calabria strikes a lovely balance – it feels authentically Italian without being overly themed, creating a comfortable and convivial setting that encourages lingering and conversation. There was a gentle buzz of happy diners, yet it never felt overwhelmingly loud, allowing for easy conversation at our table. And then, the food! La Bella Calabria truly shines in its culinary offerings. Each dish we ordered was a testament to fresh, high-quality ingredients and authentic Calabrian recipes. The pasta dishes were, as always, a highlight Portions were generous without being overwhelming, and presentation was simple yet elegant. What truly elevated our experience, beyond the delicious food, was the impeccable service. Our servers were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly, anticipating our needs without being intrusive. They were happy to offer recommendations and ensured our drinks were always topped up. It's clear that the team at La Bella Calabria takes pride in providing a top-notch dining experience, and their efforts certainly paid off. For a Father's Day meal, or indeed any occasion where you desire excellent Italian cuisine in a truly pleasant setting, La Bella Calabria is an absolute gem. It’s a place where you can relax, enjoy fantastic food, and create cherished memories. We left feeling thoroughly satisfied and already planning our next visit. Highly...

La Bella Calabria at 100 Parkside Dr, Houghton Regis, is an absolute gem for those seeking authentic Italian cuisine with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We recently celebrated a friend’s birthday here, and it turned out to be a delightful experience that exceeded all expectations.

From the moment we walked in, the ambiance felt cozy and inviting, with a touch of rustic Italian charm. The staff were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and accommodating, making sure everything was perfect for our celebration. They even went the extra mile to add a special touch for the birthday, which made our evening feel extra memorable.

The food was outstanding—every dish we tried was packed with flavor and prepared with evident care and fresh ingredients. The menu offered a variety of options, from classic Italian staples like pasta and pizza to more refined dishes. The lasagna was perfectly layered with rich, savory sauce, and the seafood risotto was bursting with freshness. The pizzas were authentic, with a thin, crispy crust and generous toppings. For dessert, the tiramisu was heavenly—light, creamy, and just the right amount of sweetness.

Portion sizes were generous, and the prices were very reasonable considering the high quality of the food and service. The restaurant also had a well-curated wine list, which complemented the dishes perfectly.

Overall, La Bella Calabria is the perfect spot for a cozy dinner, a family gathering, or a special celebration like ours. It’s a place where you feel like a valued guest, and the delicious food will have you coming back for more. Highly recommended for anyone in the Dunstable area looking for a...
