The restaurant ART’s Parlour is beautiful and filled with quirky decor and collectibles, great for lunch/ dinner with family and friends, or a romantic meal for two. I tried the homemade soup with freshly baked bread, the bangers and mash and the Sunday roast - yum! As it was Valentines weekend we sampled cocktails by the guest mixologist from NYC, the Absolute Honey was absolutely delicious!🍸 The Snug bar is perfect for an afternoon or after-dinner drink by the cosy fireplace, warm and welcoming on a miserable weekend! The service was great, staff super friendly and attentive. Looking forward to returning, to sample the soon to open rooms, spa and beer garden! 🍻

Had Mother's Day lunch here. The food is really good . Priced competitively too. My starter was beetroot and goat's cheese salad, then shoulder of lamb roast dinner . Dessert was ginger and lime cheesecake . Being Mother's Day the restaurant was really busy , but the waiting times were perfectly acceptable. Staff were friendly and pleasant

What a lovely stay. The friendliest and most helpful staff I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet. Nothing was too much trouble. We were spoiled rotten by their attention and kindness. We and our dogs were made to feel part of the family and we all had. Wonderful time! Thank you so much for making our stay truly memorable in all the right ways.

My stay at Lairds House Bedlington hotel was truly exceptional. We spent one night there with my family, and the staff went above and beyond in terms of hospitality. Every member of the team was extremely helpful and always had a smile on their face, which made all the difference in our experience.

There were several occasions where the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. One such instance was when we arrived late at night, and the bar was about to close. Nevertheless, they allowed us to take a whisky shot to our room, showing flexibility and consideration for the guests.

Another point I'd like to highlight is the hotel's pet-friendly policy. For a small extra fee, we were able to bring our furry friend along, which made our trip even more special.

Additionally, it was my birthday during the stay, and the staff made sure to make it memorable. During breakfast, the receptionist found a cake so we could celebrate, and they even encouraged us to make some noise, appreciating the liveliness of a festive breakfast.

Last but not least, when my mother forgot her shoes at the hotel, the staff was extremely helpful in helping to resolve the issue. They arranged for the boots to be sent back to us, making the process simple and stress-free.

Overall, my family and I felt truly welcomed by everyone at Lairds House Bedlington hotel and had a sensational experience. I highly recommend this hotel without hesitation to anyone looking for an exceptional stay...

It's a great place to stay. I was really surprised by the quality and variety on offer. I had expected that it was just a restaurant that also had a few spare rooms to let. In fact, it was a charmingly appointed, cosy, but rambling period property, with a well stocked bar, beautiful rooms, and a bustling restaurant. It even had Timothy Taylor Landlord on draught hand-pull!

We did not eat there, other than breakfast, so cannot comment greatly in the food, other than to say that the breakfast was not a buffet, and so limited in the amount you could have, but was tasty and I especially liked the eggs. Also, the kitchen is open and viewable if you enter from the carpark entrance.

The bar was busy all night. We left at about 11pm, and groups of people were still arriving even then. No rowdiness, which, as residents, was welcome. Lots of staff and friendly service.

The room was a real surprise. Tastefully decorated and furnished, with lots of space. The shower had no door, probably because of the room design with sloping ceilings, but we were provided with a thick bath rug to catch any wayward splashes, which worked. The window was a bifold so we could, if it wasn't February and raining, open it fully and have the whole wall open to the weather. Must be great in summer. A decent beer garden out back, too.

Overall, it's a great place. We both said we'd be back. And this...

I grew up in Bedlington but now live in London, and came to the Laird's House for a friend's wedding. The ceremony, the dinner and the evening do were all provided by the Laird's House, and I also stayed over and had breakfast and lunch there the next day.

Honestly this is one of the best experiences I have had at a small hotel. The wedding arrangements all seemed really smooth and accomodating, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and the food at all three meals was really good. The decor in the rooms and downstairs is nicely idiosyncratic (think turn of the 20th century) and feels cosy and welcoming, and in keeping with the historic building. I also learned to my surprise that Bedlington has a sea view!

If I was to make one note it would be that not everybody likes brioche buns at every opportunity (eg breakfast bacon rolls) but honestly that is personal taste and massively nitpicking.

All in all, really well done to everyone at the Laird's House who contributed to a...
