We pre booked for a table for 10 in advance for a special bereavement anniversary meal. When we arrived, there was no tables available for us to all be seated together. We were told there was a 20 minute wait but the 2 tables already occupied that could only be the ones we could all be seated together at had not even ordered their mains. After questioning this we were told by one member of staff that it wasn't their problem and another member of staff said we could ask one of the tables to hurry up and leave if we wanted to! Fortunately another local Indian restaurant in Howden was able to accommodate us at short notice. We had to wait another 45 minutes for a table but at least we got the service we expected and were able to be seated together to remember our loved one. Can't comment on the food as we didn't get the chance to sit down and order but definitely will never be returning here. Customer service...
Read moreWe phoned up tonight (new years eve) at 5pm and made an order (as soon as they opened) After 1 hour it hadnt arrived, so i kindly called and asked for an update. They told me it was on its way... (famous words) 🤣 And after another 30 minutes it still hadnt arrived. We then proceeded to call for and update again, may i add we understood they may be busy as it is new years eve so we showed abit of patience but an hour and half is quite some time. When we tried to call again (many times) we had no answer or we got an answering machine message, i even tried to call from my partners phone but we still got the same outcome. In the end we have driven somewhere for food ☺️ Shame really because we have eaten from here several times already and we havnt had any problems at all. Read morePoor service / delivery time , Order placed at 19:39 with an estimated delivery of 45 minutes Phoned restaurant at 21:00 being told the order was being prepped (already later than expected ) Delivery arrived at 21:15 which arrived cold which needed to be warmed in the microwave Phoned restaurant at 21:39 when asked why it was cold was told it’s because the driver is old and slow although the timings worked out not to be overly slow on the drivers part.
Feel the restaurant was holding out for more deliveries in the area before delivering.
Also disgusted in the age discrimination of the driver when all information given didn’t point to the driver being slow.
