R'Teapot is one of the most friendliest, small yet lovely cafes around. The staff would do anything for you even off menu foods. The choices of drinks are varied and excellent quality. Everything is cooked to order, so there maybe a wait but worth it. They pride themselves on good service and it shows. You can go alone or as a group and always feel welcomed. Caring staff who genuinely care for their customers. You can sit and colour, paint, do activities whilst you wait and doesn't matter your age. All activities can be provided for. I'd recommend booking ahead to ensure there is a table available and reserve it but even if no tables, if its a nice day you can sit outside on the grass with their picnic blankets that they provide. My daughter bought me an afternoon tea for mothers day, but due to covid19 only managed to have it today 19/12. It was well worth the wait! Amazing value for money and very generous with the portions. We both were given a 2 tier plate of sandwiches and cakes. A homemade scone with fresh strawberries and cream on a slate with an arrangement of sliced fresh fruits. There were also baby carrots with a cheese dip and humus dip, crisps and a lovely lemon cheesecake for me and a strawberry cheesecake for my daughter. And a large pot of tea and coffee. The staff were lovely and very attentive, the tables were spaced out with blinds inbetween following in accordance to covid regulations. FANTASTIC 1ST VISIT I can't wait to go back with more friends. Lovely atmosphere beautiful tea and cakes huge menu so so so homely. I will be highly recommend it to anyone plus toilets send even a little private side room with fireplace for quieter moments. WONDERFUL JUST WONDERFUL already planning my next visit.
