Had 2 pasties that were fairly good, however we also ordered pannini's and one in particular was probably the worst attempt at a sandwich I have ever had - missing a key listed ingredient... Cheese. I would have preferred not to leave a bad review here and would have just returned to give them a chance to rectify. Unfortunately I took my pannini to go and the bakery was closed once I had realised - obviously this isn't the bakery's fault. Accepting human error and the missing ingredient (was supposed to be chicken, cheese and chilli jam), I'm not sure how they cooked the pannini, the top was like a giant stale crouton and the bottom was soggy. My partners pannini was the same in this respect. + dry chicken and not so good chilli jam. Not great for a £5 sandwich in my opinion.

It's one of the best Malcolm Barnecutt steak pasties I've ever had! Delicious amount of filling, crispy, and fresh pastry. It's one of the best pasties around! Make sure to get there early before they sell out. We went at 1pm, and they only had medium sizes left. The staff are super friendly, and the lady who served us picked out a really yummy Chelsea bun for us. Queue moves quickly as there are two people serving

You can always tell how good a place is by the amount of people waiting and there was quite a few wow what a lovely shop this is and I have to say once you are in the place you are certainly in for a treat we came out with a lot more than we went in for an absolute feast for your eyes the large steak pasty’s are incredible best we have ever had in Cornwall and their home made bread is amazing

Originally from Devon and moved to the South East a few years ago and so coming down to the South West, I was really looking forward to a good pasty. Unfortunately, these pasties were probably the worst Id ever eaten, though Ive never tried the cellophane wrapped things you find in supermarkets, Id imagine they are pretty bad too! My husband had a steak pasty and said it had no taste and he didnt like it. I tried the vegetarian and it was like no other vegetarian pasty Ive ever had before. The filling comprised of edamame beans, kidney beans, corn and I dont know what else, not the normal swede or potato, carrot and peas etc. and had no flavour. The pastry was as hard and tough as leather, again with no flavour, made with hard hands, as my grandmother would say; I prefer a more flakier pastry. The best pasty Ive ever had was in Salcombe, I also like Ivor Dewney in Plymouth. I wouldnt buy...

Possibly the best pasties we had during this visit to Cornwall, a decent size, crammed full of filling without skimping on the meat. The place it well played out and there were queues every day we visited. It clearly gets very busy as there was an In and Out doors to the building. The only criticism I have is the coffee machine is back by the In door which means when you've ordered you have to fight your way back to the beginning to collect them, they also took ages to make. Room for improvement on the service as staff were a bit boring and robotic, no smiles or conversation even when they weren't busy. I will definitely be back at some point...
