Mayflower Chinese takeaway — Restaurant in England

I ordered shrimp chop suey and squid in Black pepper sauce among other things, but this two in particular were horrendous. Basically the Chop suey was a plastic box full of soya bean sprouts submerged in a white tasteless liquid, with about 12 to 13 shrimps of the size of a 1p coin that seemed to be the ones that come frozen in Iceland, for that I paid 6 pounds. But that is not everything. The squid in black pepper sauce was chopped onions and pepper in black bean sauce and... oh, yeah, about 9 small and ridiculous pieces of squid hidden in between the ONION AND PEPPERS, so small that I had to really look for them, for that I paid 7 pounds. I called them to express my disappointment but they did not seem to care much. Definitely not ordering from this place ever, and I will make sure everyone I know knows so they save themselves from throwing...

I was excited to try a new Chinese takeaway as our usual was getting abit stale. I am a tricky one being a veggie and I appreciate effort, however I can also see when a restaurant has used a frozen bag of 'mixed vegetables'that are undercooked , random bits of Chinese lettuce over cooked. I had the vegetarian Singapore noodles its been over 10 years since I had any(hard to find veggie versio s) and was disappointed with an overly black peppered, peanut coated, oily yet bone dry noodles. As nice as the food may be, be careful when ordering. Just eat is obviously very expensive and takes a lot of money off independent takeaways so I chose to order directly through their app. I placed my order and accepted the 50-60 min wait time however I then got a phone call stating that I hadn’t paid enough of a delivery fee and needed to pay the driver an additional £1 because the app charged me wrong. I have no issues in paying extra and I would have paid it on the app no quibble, but I’m sorry you should not call customers to pay extra because your app is incorrect.
