McDonald's Bedford Elms Parc — Restaurant in England

I'm Italian went to mcdonald's to celebrate my nonna's birthday (my dads mum she's 86 today happy birthday) was disappointed poor service almost nonexistent. Used machine to order no choice offered to eat in or take away and no receipt no staff at counter to ask and when we did ask we were kept waiting even though the place was near empty in the end no receipt ever materialised. Even if they aren't serving there should be someone there in case there is a problem but no they seem to all hide away in the kitchen complete lack of interest. They're being paid to do a job so at least have the decency to do it properly. We got our food and surprise surprise part was missing (not the first time either by a long way) had to get someone to sort it out once we got their attention as they kept disappearing. Got the missing food went to go upstairs my dad and nonna took the stairs while me and my mum took the lift as she's in a wheelchair lift worked but was very tight it's supposed to accessible but we could barely get in there I had to back right up against the wall to make us fit. According to the sticker it can carry a max of 6 people I find that very hard to believe personally maybe in weight terms but once you account for height and size no sorry I don't buy it. Anyway got upstairs to the table no napkins sauces nothing dad had to go back down to the counter to ask and to rub it in they tried to give us just 2 salt sachets for 4 people really come on basic maths it's not hard. Finally sat down to eat food was half cold if we were taking it home I could understand but we were eating on site it should be hot no excuses. To top it off the chicken legends we ordered were way below par the chicken was hard and was all lopsided the bun lid was askew they had been clearly slapped together with no care whatsoever the chicken sandwiches were messy and the large fries weren't very large. We paid almost £30 which was a complete waste as the food and service were all very low standard. Not worth the prices they charge particularly the chicken legend with bacon which is £5 a time so you expect certain quality and there is none glad we never bought drinks either as they are an utter rip off could get far better and cheaper elsewhere. Had the misfortune to stop by this McDonalds on a Saturday night around 9:15. It was not overly busy and my order joined the other 4 "Being prepared" meals on the board. After approx 20 minutes my number appeared on the Pickup list, then almost immediately disappeared. In the mean time about 5 Uber/JustEats delivery guys had breezed in and picked up large orders, which quite frankly is amazing because from my vantage point all I could see is the staff p1ssing about doing sod all work. They were content to help themselves to soft drinks, whip each other with wet paper towels, and after one dropped a large number of cup tops she simply kicked them under the counter with a smirk. After 25 minutes the people in front of me complained and suddenly their drinks and McFlurrys were produced, however it was plain to see their Mango smoothie and McSlurry were by now pure liquid. At this point I'm afraid I lost it and demanded my money back. "Have you got your receipt?" Well I can't remember the last time the machines ever dispensed a receipt in McDonalds, so the manager had to trawl back through the records. I do not know how they manage to keep the franchise, it was the worst experience I've had in a McDonalds, and against my better instincts after we carried on our journey due to the kids insistence we stopped at the MaccyDs At Caxton Gibbet, which was staffed by adults who actually gave a sh1t and freshly cooked all the food including probably the best fries I've ever had from a McDonalds in under 10 minutes. Came for a quick breakfast on Saturday before a 2 hour drive

Got basically thrown the bag of food by a miserable staff member and straight away they slammed the window shut, by the time I opened the bag (still at the window) there were no napkins. For 2 breakfast wraps 😅

So I waited a couple minutes and she didn't come back.

So I quickly went into the store itself to pick up a few napkins. 5 minutes of waiting and getting ignored when there were about 4 members of staff walking past me dragging there feet not actually doing anything I finally got some napkins by I assume the manager because she was wearing a different top compared to everyone else

Manager: can I help? Me: can I have some napkins please, I got a drive thru and no napkins hands me napkins looking annoyed Me: um thanks Manager: we haven't got many napkins ......

I didn't even bother responding cos I was in a hurry but alright its not my fault there's apparently a shortage of napkins even though you just randomly gave me 10 🤣

I work in hospitality so I know it can be tough but get a different job if you all hate it there so much

Got into my car, breakfast wrap was thrown together so good thing I had napkins cos it fell apart as soon as I opened it. I had to rewrap it.

Service by all staff was rubbish, apart from the guy that took our order at the drive thru.

Food was good considering they may as well have just thrown it in the bag and gave me a fork.
