My daughter and her friend attempted to go in this evening to buy a milkshake after finishing netball practise at 5pm. They weren’t allowed through the door because they were in school uniform. I received a phone call from my daughter, went down and spoke with the duty manager who said that what she had told me is correct and that is the rule made up by Jemma Verrall (the manager). It turns out it is Cecil Jones students that are not allowed in there in uniform, all the other schools are. Totally discriminating against these students! Yet the same students could go home and get changed and then go in! Same children, different clothes! Two other staff members joined in my conversation, I’m not sure why, I had asked to speak to the manager not them and at one point both of them were smirking and laughing behind their masks. I told them that you cannot tar everyone with the same brush and punish good kids for the way the bad ones behave and was told that’s the way it is, the bad ruin it for the good! What a terrible attitude to have, what motivation does this give the good children if they are punished anyway. I was also told that the school made up this rule also but when I called the school and spoke to the head teacher, he advised me this is not the schools policy and he has raised his concerns also with McDonald’s and their head office but they have ignored him. I don’t condone abuse towards staff or other children/members of the public but I will not accept that good children are punished as well as bad children in life. I shall be taking up this discrimination with McDonald's head office as clearly this restaurant thinks this...
Read moreJust been here for drive through breakfast. Oh my word. It was fabulous. The service was impeccable.
The first guy we spoke to understood the order first time, and made a suggestion of how we could put it through to make the extra drinks slightly cheaper. MASSIVE TICK.
Then we went to the next window and the girl I spoke to was polite and efficient. She even wished me a good day as our brief, efficient exchange ended. TICK 2 IN THE BAG!
Now they stepped it up another gear. I stopped at the next window and BAM!!! Another bright eyed young lady was hanging out of her window and almost into my car with our first two drinks. I took them and handed them to my dumbfounded fiancé (we both were by this point) and by the time I turned back around... BAM!!! The crazy eyed one was right there with the extra drinks.
Needless to say I have never experienced service like this in a McDonald’s before.
To top it off the guy brought our food out to the car park for us once it was ready, and found us using our registration number! I didn’t even know they did that.
No fuss, seamless service, smiles all round and happiness in the heart of every Englishman lucky enough to frequent this exemplary carb/meat factory.
We’re going back in 20 minutes for...
Read moreWhy on earth anybody would write a review for McDonald's is beyond me. It's McDonald's. You go to McDonald's, you get a McDonald's, 'nuff said. We all know what it is, we all know what it tastes like, it's the largest chain in the dang world for god's sake. A review of any Maccers will be the same - sometimes the food is piping hot, just the right amount of salt on the fries, crispy nuggets & juicy burgers - and sometimes there'll be a dirty tampon in your burger. It's a give or take scenario, same with all McDonald's. People usually write reviews when they're in a place of heightened emotions. I could order 10 banging McDonald's but the one time my fries are a little soggy? 1-star-review. Y'know what I say? If you want McDonald's, just come here. It's literally just a McDonald's. Staff are lovely, but they're also working in busy environments under lots of pressure, so you'll get good & bad days. Please... just please... no more reviews of McDonald's. I've. Had. ENOUGH.
That being said, 5 stars, I want McDonald's so bad right now, god I'm so hungry, god I could just devour 3 hamburgers and a 20 nugget box on the...
