Mr Browns — Restaurant in England

So my partner and I decided to come here for breakfast. We are not known to the area we were staying in a cottage for a few days and needed some breakfast. We came across this cafe in a quiet little village and decided to pop in.

The staff are lovely and friendly, we were sat at the front right next to the fridge display, which ...yes was a bit cold sitting there, but nothing a quick scootch over didn't fix. I ordered a big breakfast and a hot chocolate. To my amazement the biggest of hot chocolates arrived, complete with all the trimmings of marshmallows sprinkles etc 😋.

The breakfast itself was very nice, although I think the sausages were a little over cooked it didn't stop me eating them all. I really enjoyed the food there and so did my partner, the girls on the shop floor were whizzing around trying to get the food out on time to everyone.... it wasn't unnoticed...

First visit to Mr Brown's but it won't be our last! A warm welcome by staff even though they were extremely busy. We were told where there were available tables on the ground floor and in the upstairs seating area. All very clean and tidy, good quality seating, tables and decor, a very pleasant atmosphere and the other diners were friendly. Not a vast, finicky menu but a very good 'normal' one with classic dishes. We had the Welsh rarebit which was superb, never had one this good in any other cafe/restaurant. The soup look good too. A great little place. When we visited it was quite busy, and we were told there would be a 45 minute wait for food. We weren't in a rush and it was nice to watch the world go by out of the window. Really nice quality cups, plates etc not your usual cafe fayre made it feel like a quality place. The staff were very helpful and when the food came it was worth the wait. The chips were proper and obviously home cooked and I would guess at least double if not triple fried. Lush! Just go for the chips if...
