Mr Brunch — Restaurant in England

Despite ordering every Friday for the last few months and living less than five minutes away from the shop it took 2 hours to be delivered because the system on their own website didn't add my postcode when I entered my address making it so I was the last one to receive my order.

After multiple calls and being told it was with the driver and it was only 10 minutes away and that if it arrived cold I could get a refund. It finally arrived and obviously it was cold so called up asking for them to send a replacement order but they said they were busy so said we'd take a refund but because we accepted the order we could not be refunded.

How on Earth can we tell if the food is warm if we don't accept it? Great food usually but very poor service this time around, will definitely make me think about ordering from them in future.

Update: Despite them being busy I did receive a replacement within half an hour, delicious and well cooked so...

First time visiting Brunch. Neil very warmly welcomed us, talked us through the menu. He is a very charming and kind host who went out of his way to serve us as first time.

We ordered a Medium Breakfast, the Farmer's Wife Burger, steak chips and chai. The food was freshly prepared, piping hot, very generous portion sizes. Everything was seasoned very well and Neil offered some very tasty, unique house sauces.

The Medium Breakfast came with 2 lamb sausages, 2 turkey rashes, 2 eggs, 2 toast, 2 hash browns and beans, very generously sized. The Farmers Wife Burger had a delicious beef patty, crispy chicken fillet, cheese and sauces in a toasted brioche bun; crispy, juicy, oozing with flavour! Neil gave us complimentary cheesy chips with a coating of sauce which were the perfect side to a burger .

I would recommend anyone visiting the area to try the food offered by Neil. It is made from the heart and Neil's warm manner elevates...

Been to the new venue a couple of times, most of the staff are fab and friendly and accommodating including the owner obvs. Went recently and was served by someone who was very UNinterested in taking our order and found it acceptable to check his phone while taking our order (he didn't think I noticed), just seems rude and which meant two of our small requests got ignored, even though he nodded away yeah yeah. Not the kitchens fault at all and they where more then happy to put right what was wrong and the food tastes brilliant so is worth it, we love the loaded chips. A side note of observation, I noticed no one in the kitchen wearing hairnets or any protective clothing at all - seems like you could be at risk of cross contamination for example the lady wearing the Hijab/Burka dangling at the front I mean 😳🤷, like Drs with their ties spreading MRSA in...
