Food ordered on Just eat. Given an ETA. 30mins after ETA I rang and was told is was out for delivery and we were next. 30 mins later rang again to explain that I no longer wanted the food, I was told it had just left and that I wasn't told it was on the way in previous conversation. I said if they'd been honest first time I would have gone and collected the food, asked for a refund after being called a liar and was then hung up on. Food arrived 5 mins later, due to social distancing the food was just dropped on doorstep so I didn't have time to send back. The food was cold and soggy and went straight in the bin. AVOID!!!! Ordered two pizzas and garlic bread at 6.30pm through ScunthorpeEats. ETA 7.30pm. Call at 7.45pm to be told it's next order out. As we're 10mins away I called again at 8pm to be told it will be going out in 5 mins. Asked for a cancellation as not able to wait any longer and was told no cancellation is possible. So took the money and still no food. Got told they're busy which is understandable but they didn't explain anything on the first phone call, only that it would be next out which was clearly a lie. Really friendly staff, will sort you out if you have any problems, the food it s really good pretty nice portions on the kebabs and wraps they are not shying away from making them full of meat and the vegetables are always fresh as they throw away the remaining of the old ones and prepare new ones beforehand for every shift opening.
