Came here to meet up with a friend. Booked a table online which was easy enough. Had popadoms to start which were really nice with the garnishes. Then when it came to taking the main course order it did take a while. We did find out a server was off sick so there was only one server working the restaurant. There were takeaway orders going out throughout the evening with the various delivery drivers. The food was tasty, just service a bit slow.

A great experience, we felt very welcome and were well looked after. The food was excellent, presented beautifully, and everyone in our group enjoyed their meal. I had the mixed grill, which was a feast for the eyes and the stomach. My wife was very happy with the vegetarian and vegan options.

The Mughal is a lovely family-owned restaurant. A somewhat unprepossessing exterior should be overlooked as the food is very good, consistently so. This, plus the excellent personal service, makes us return on a regular basis.

This place is ideal for dinner with family, friends, and dates. I’ve been here with family and friends on multiple occasions, every time I’m in the area. The waiter, who I believe is the son of the owner, is charming and very helpful. He helped us choose the dishes we wanted, and even catered to my mother’s vegetarian needs.

We all obviously had to get the papadoms. We got nurgi chaat, chicken tikka rolls, onion bhaji, and pau pakora. For mains, I got my garlic chilli chicken, and my mother had balti navratan vegetable curry. My dad got the bongo piazzia. Now, my family loves spice, and they haven’t gotten a chance to have much whenever we dined out in the UK. We got our food amazingly seasoned and hot, perfect for our tastes. I could tell they made their curry from scratch.

My dad is the only one who drinks, and he must have finished the day’s supply of Cobra. For dessert, we all had to have the kulfi. Pistachio kulfi is the original kulfi, in my opinion, and it took me back to my days in India.

Don’t let the exterior of the restaurant fool you; it is neat, clean, and accommodating. Again, it is very clean inside. My mother and I require CLEAN toilets wherever we eat, and that’s funnily an important part of our reviews of places.

Overall, I love this place for eat-in and takeaways. I highly...

Travelled from Salisbury tonight with family to try this place on a recommendation from a work colleague. We found this restaurant to be very cosy and welcoming with very nice decor, an Indian feel background music with the smell of incense as you come through the door. Our waiter was very friendly and gave good service with a smile. The food was presented beautifully, the ingredients including the salad and vegetables were all obviously very fresh and the taste of the spices on the chicken tikka was nice well balanced and very flavourful with the meat being tender and not dry. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to friends or bring people here for a meal again, very lucky locals in Ludgershall we came away very happy and me especially as I came away with a doggy bag as I couldn’t...

Sadly having been our favourite curry and go to place they have dropped in service and seem to prefer putting takeaways first 🥲. Our last visit we sat for over 30 mins just waiting for a drink then the main meal took over a hour and half whilst we watched take away after takeaway going out!! There were other tables also waiting for a longtime!! I suggest when busy you take the phone off the hook and catch up on your customers front of house give them the service they deserve and not rushed out burnt food. All the food was such a lower standard due to rushing when you had a gap in takeaway. Such a shame you let your selfs down for what seemed like greed for money. 8 people will not be returning for a long time now such a shame. Not even a drink offered on the house or...
