The way this Nando's is run is bad. When we got there we waited in the queue which in itself isn't unusual but when 70% of the tables are empty begs the issues. We were told that we couldn't be seated while the kitchen catch up with the current orders. All this time the queue was getting bigger.
Previous occasion there were no chicken on the bone available and we asked if that was the case on this visit, it wasn't but instead there was a 40 min wait for chicken on the bone. We asked why and it was because the machine doesn't tell them the stock is low, so why don't they check manually???
We ordered food not on the bone and that took a very long time to arrive, we waited over half hr so could have had chicken on the bone considering how long we waited. Tables next to us were all complaining about time taken for food to arrive and a couple tables complained about food not arriving.
The experience was poor and in all fairness to the waiting staff they were still providing a good service to customers and were all so lovely and understanding of our complaints. These staff were taking the brunt from angry customers when the management should have stepped up but instead casually going about their day as if there wasn't any problems.
If it weren't for the waiting staff, my 3 star for this review would have been a 1.
Management need to wake up and realize it is not fair on customers to wait this long and not fair on the staff who were having to deal with all the issues and complaints.
Nando's reputation is very important for the brand but this specific restaurant has put...
Read moreWhilst going to get a replacement soda from the machine my friend asked me to get him a refill of water (which is of course free) with his smaller cup. So when I went up to the machine I decided I only wanted a small amount of diet sprite to quench my thirst and as I had a smaller glass I thought it would be more economical to use the smaller glass and use the larger refill glass for water. As I poured roughly 100ml of the diet soda I heard a shriek from behind me, I shuddered with fear and turned around to my shock to see an angry Nando employee barking at me ferociously! She said "What the bloody hell do you think you're doing you jock idiot, pour that sprite out !". I was obviously taken aback but calmed down and went on to explain how I had only switched the glasses over (to their financial gain may I add) to please me and my paying friend. After a minor scuffle with her and a few headlocks/rumbles over the table the situation got calmed down by a mixed martial arts teacher who happened to be passing by on business duties, I can't quite recall his name but I'm sure he was from the Tuscany refion of Zimbabwe. If it wasn't for him there would certainly have been more blood spilled. All and all food was ok tho and I left a tip....
Read moreUnfortunately this branch has really gone down hill. For the amount we paid, I expected far better food and service. We waited a very long time for food and there weren't many people in there. The waitress was kind enough to come over and ask if we were told about the delay, which we weren't. When they food came the chicken was really dry and bland as though they didn't baste or season it on the grill. The garlic bread was rock solid it literally hurt my jaw eating it and gave me a headache. We did ask for some of the garlic breads to be replaced but the rest were inedible. We aren't complainers so we didn't say anything until we seen the manager at the very end. All he said was OK I'll let the staff know. I think maybe some of the order was ready and was waiting too long before serving which is why everything was dry and almost stale.
It honestly is not worth the money, far too expensive and food very inadequette. Even the children said how bad it was. We won't be returning sadly. I am writing this in hope you can improve for others because people work hard to treat their families, and I wouldn't want others to walk away with the...
