New Delhi Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in England

We dropped in on a Saturday night without a reservation, and were pleasantly surprised that they had some free tables and could offer us one! However, there was only one waitress, who seemed to be trying to do front of house/'meet and greet', plus serving drinks AND taking food orders.

We ordered a bottle of white wine, starters and main courses, but after 20 minutes our bottle of wine still hadn't arrived - it takes mere seconds to grab a bottle from the fridge and place it on a table. If drinks are delivered, customers are usually happy to wait for the food - even if it's slow to arrive. Plus giving the customers their drink "locks" them in - they are committed to staying at that point. The group of four people on the table next to us had been waiting for absolutely ages and still hadn't managed to even order a drink. This did not bode well!

I am in Swindon weekly on business and have tried many Indian restaurants (biblob, Diwali, Mel's etc)

This place serves good food and authentic, seems more a family run shop with one of the family members being a good cook and would applaude them for the food although in Swindon I have had better Indian at Mela hands down!

Customer service is appalling and is something they need to learn and improve on. I asked the waiter what is the most popular meat dish and the response was "company policy is such that they are not supposed to recommend" second question do u have lamb Saag and ans. was "I don't know"

U are running a restaurant in UK and customer service is everything in today's day and age, the management need to understand this!

Food was a 4 star, customer service pulled them down to a 2 star and ambience is not...

Highly ill- mannered and rude person who handles the calls . Extremely disappointed with the behaviour of the man who took the call. (9:45 approx, on 10th April,23)

He cancelled our order purposely when I told him the baby is waiting for the food.. he said I don’t care I am cancelling your order…just because we called and said please give some onions and chutney (when we were ready to pay as well) with the food we have ordered.., but he was super rude….
