We used to come here every week and it was great but recently it’s gone down hill. We decided to go last night as we hadn’t been for a while, arrived to a pretty tired looking exterior. All the metal work could do with a clean, this was noticed and commented on by my kids. Getting seated took a while longer than we expected especially as it wasn’t busy inside. We were sat at a wet table that had just been cleaned, which wasn’t very nice. We ordered drinks and then food, it took almost an hour to get our food, and when it did arrive although it looked good it was cheap nasty ingredients, not unlike a burger van or kebab house late on a Friday night. The burgers were cheap, dry and way over cooked just like the ones you find left over at a friends bbq that no one will touch. The baps were cheapest of cheap break apart when you touch them cheap. The prices are exstortionate for the quality of the food received. For a place that promotes an American dinning experience, it’s a joke. If anyone remotely American walked in they would have serious problems. Overall a pretty terrible experience, it wasn’t busy so didn’t make sense why food took so long, prices did not reflect quality of the food and basically the place needs an internal review from ok dinners. I would like to have said this may have just been a glitch that we only experienced, however a few families around us had the same thing, and it was evident on their red annoyed faces. The staff were pleasant enough.

Iv been to America 3 times and the only authentic food is the skinny sausages and thin bacon. Other than that, you can buy all the stuff at a local supermarket. No one comes round on roller skates topping up your coffee like in the movies. Pros: Service was fast and friendly. Food was fully cooked and tasty. Men's bathrooms were clean and had enough toilet paper. Decor was very nice with lovely colours. Bar stool for a slightly authentic experience. Cons: ordered a cheese hot dog and it came in a sort of ciabatta rectangular bread with a few bits of unmelted grated cheese, which ruined the experience. Portion size was small for an American experience. The homefries was basic and flavourless. Overall, was nice to try and it had nice decor but don't expect an actual American diner experience. Food was basically the same as a normal restaurant. Staff and toilets were nice though hence the 2 stars.

So me and a friend stopped off here for lunch on our way to Liverpool. I’m a Jack Reacher fan and it was like walking into the scene from the book Killing Floor. From the decor, the seating and the music so I loved it from the moment I stepped through the door. Having said that I paid attention as I always do. The staff were friendly and very welcoming, the place was spotless and the staff were cleaning anyway. One staff member was even dusting the pictures, light fixing and making sure everything was spotless. As always I judge a place on how clean the customer toilets are. They were spotless, maybe the cleanest I’ve seen in a very long time. The food arrived quickly and was piping hot, well presented and very tasty. This was my first experience of OK Diner and I will be more than happy to eat here again should I ever be in the area. I wish we had an OkK diner in Swansea!

Total joke from start to finish. Place was empty, and they made us sit squished up to the only other customer in there and wouldn't let us sit in the bigger seats. Her excuse was 'its dinner time' so I was expecting a big rush of people but no one else came. Not sure of the waitresses name but she had dyed red hair and spoke like a patronising robot. 2 cokes we ordered first which came in glasses that smelt like dirty dishwater and were brought with no ice for some reason. We asked for a refill later. My pregnant partner asked for a diet sprite this time instead of a coke. The waitresses reply was 'no you have to have the same drink you ordered first lol another pointless rule. While she's saying she was holding my glass under her mouth which is disgusting so I told her to forget about the refill. Another pointless rule was the huge sign sellotaped on the table next to the napkins 'DO NOT TOUCH' lol ASK YOUR SURVER. Well we did ask the server for ice and were met with a frosty response as if she was overrun even though there was more staff than customers (3 including us). So we ignored the sign and got the napkins ourself. As for the food. We know its a cheap diner but it was inedible. I wouldn't give that meat to my dog. The worst customer service I've ever experienced. Honestly better service in McDonald's or KFC. None of the staff seem to have any common sense or social skills. The only thing I regret was paying for the food, however I didn't think I could explain any of this to the brain dead manager after seeing the way she ran the place.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! (Although many people are doing this anyway as the place...

Called in today after been to Ironworks, never been into an OK before although seen a few up & down, TBH it's likely to be the last time as well as it was far from OK. Although the food was OK that's all it was, OK, it certainly wasn't good, it filled a gap, £37 for 2 was very expensive for the quality. The lady who greeted us was not particularly pleasant, it was very clear she didn't want to be there & we were just a nuisance for daring to disturb her. She didn't advise we needed to put our Reg No into the iPad just pointed to it & mumbled something incoherent as though we should know we had to do it. Taking the order seemed a chore, any attempt at brevity was met with a sour face, then the young man who served us wasn't much better although I can imagine working with the woman had sucked the life out of him. We even gave a cheery goodbye to both them to just look back in wonder without offering any response. A place to avoid at all costs is all I can say.

I am editing this after a flaccid response from the owner, my view still holds that it was a very poor experience one that will prevent ourselves from using OK Diners in the future. This is reinforced by the owners view & lack of commitment to investigate. Have you considered secret shoppers or some other type of spot checks, the comment by another customer stating it compares to Denny's if this compares to Denny's you must have been to their very very worst diner as they are on a different level. How often does Dafydd Poole visit his diners, he would be shocked how...
