The team at the Old Butchers Wine Cellar helped us to select wine for a big birthday celebration. They were simply brilliant at helping us choose and providing options. The service was second to none from organisation, to delivery and the glass hire service was a brilliant option. Big thanks to Jess and Angela for helping to make the occasion perfect. Highly recommend for parties. We also love visiting the bar/shop. It has a great atmosphere and the selections on offer are second to none. The team have helped me with other recommendations from wine to whiskey. We are so lucky to have businesses like this on our doorstep. Outstanding service, outstanding wine. I highly recommend the Old Butcher’s Wine Cellar.

I was due to visit a local vineyard with 8 friends but the event was called off the day before due to poor weather. After a quick look online, I called and asked whether The Old Butcher’s Wine Cellar could accommodate a last-minute booking for 8. The lady on the phone was so helpful, talking me through the tasting experience & food menus.

The tasting was really good value for money at £24pp for 6 wines, accompanied by expert guidance from the shops owner. We also ordered some sharing platters of food which were tasty and went perfectly with the wine.

We enjoyed it so much we stayed for a couple of bottles of wine following our tasting.

My favourite shop in Cookham. Angela and her husband are so knowledgeable and brimming with great suggestions around which wine to have with any food you are cooking. They always spend time with you in the shop to make sure you get just the right bottle and advise in a completely accessible way if you're at all intimidated by the choice or don't know much about wine.
