Nice pub and restaurant. Service is a little slow though and the food often needs to be sent back for being undercooked or overcooked. Drink prices are ok. It would be nice if it was consistent with food quality. But it is what it is. If you want fine dining pay for it! It's a nice place that's just fills a whole.

We attended their New Years Eve do last night and were shockingly disappointed. For £25 a head we literally got standard food (the steaks we received weren't fully edible and were very gristley), 2 crackers on the table and the lamest disco set up I've seen in years. In fact it looked and sounded like something from the 90s. We were also offered a choice of sauces to go on our steaks, and were amazed to get a bill for these at the end of the meal! The place was almost empty by 9.30pm and so we left early to continue our celebrations elsewhere. It's so sad because this place could really make it's mark as a steak house and grill, but instead serves cheap meat cooked with little or no care. We both woke this morning with stomach upset which we can only put down to the poor food quality. Those steaks were truly awful. We won't be eating their again.

Update 09/10/22 As they asked on review what they could do to get 5 stars I will tell them. Site maintenance to start. Outside area has rubbish and looks like it hasn't been painted since it opened. Epic waiting time for 2 burgers, neatly half an hour. Burgers came. Very little salad and just fell apart when you tried to eat them. The fries are no better than I can make at home. However, we saw some fish and chips being served and that looked epic! As I said it is what it is. It's not a fine dining restaurant, it's not wetherspoons. It won't be somewhere you walk away from thinking wow! But you won't walk away thinking bad of the place. It's basic, reheated food (bar what goes on the grill) at affordable prices. Having been contacted by the Manager to discuss my concerns we were able to arrange a follow up visit where we had another meal with our friends. The staff were very pleasant and we had a lovely meal with very good service. It has certainly restored my faith in this establishment and their customer service.
“Having booked a table online we came along for lunch with our 2 friends and when we arrived placed our drinks order which arrived promptly. However, after ordering our main courses we were very surprised and disappointed that our friends meals came out first, then after about 10mins my husbands meal came out and I was then told that mine was still being “finished off”. After about 5 more minutes of still waiting my husband had to stop eating and go to the bar to find out where my meal was. In the meantime, our friends had finished their meals and I had still not received my main course. My husband asked to speak to the manager and explained to him that this situation was not acceptable, and when you order 4 meals you expect them to all be served at the same time. He seemed very dismissive and uninterested that this situation had occurred however he did reluctantly say he would look into it. Then after a further 5 mins my meal finally arrived but no apologies from the manager. Read moreShocking treatment. Went in tonight for a meal and sat for 1 hour after ordering food before it was served. My burger was dropped on the floor by accident by the manageress and she came straight out with a ‘new’ burger. It was stone cold. When I complained about the wait and cold food I received zero apology from her and was told that it couldn’t be cold as it was a new burger straight from the grill. I was also told it was only half an hour wait time! So I was obviously wrong! :-/ shocking service and treatment from a ‘manager’

No waiting time was advised at point of order at all. It wasn’t the manager that took our order.
Agree that meal was knocked off, but you didn’t even have the decency to verbally offer this when I complained. You were too busy disagreeing with the time taken and the fact it was cold! It would’ve been far better to just apologise and offer the meal to be knocked off. The adults at our table all agreed that you didn’t handle the situation well at all. I’m sat with a clearly cold burger in front of me and all you could say was ‘it couldn’t possibly be cold as it’s just come off the grill!’ Very odd customer service...
