Parkwood Cafe — Restaurant in England

A very popular café, which is highly deserved! Although it's one I'm rather loathe to recommend, but for purely selfish reasons..... the more popular the longer the queue, the longer the queue the longer the wait! 🤣 Have only been in a couple of times, but each time it has been busy. On this occasion I visited on a Monday, so I can only imagine how busy it gets on other days..... only 1 table available! Everything is cooked to order from what I could see.... nothing left 'resting' on the back of the grill. Always a good sign for me! A very friendly and polite young lady was serving and there were several chefs in the background storming through the orders. The portion sizes are excellent. I ordered a couple of baguettes, one each for hubby and myself. I did not need to eat for the rest of the day! They have yet to disappoint. The food has tasted delicious on each...

Don't let a glance through the window deceive you. It may seem small but this cafe is huge on welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and good quality, reasonably priced, and very respectable serving sizes!

Been using this cafe for nearly three years as a lunch stop. Never fails to deliver on quality. Three of the staff even get the mugs ready for our tea as we walk in! They notice who their regulars are and practically treat them like distant family.

Update as had to dock 3 stars as felt somthing was missing the service was poor since last visit and in no way as good as last time as in greasy as if it was left to soak in fat especially the egg and mushrooms!.. Its a real shame as last time staff was more polite and welcoming and the food was well worth it as in more appetizing it's why i returned expecting somthing similar, however my experience this time left a bad taste in my mouth i wont be...
