Previously I have used Pizza Hut Woodley branch for a self collection and the pizza was quite good. Tonight me and my wife had some plans for the evening and we left our teenage children "home alone" with a plan to get them a pizza as an evening meal. I have ordered a pizza for delivery from the Pizza Hut website and after the long wait (and children calling back saying they never got their pizza), I have contacted the Woodley branch to check where our order is. The staff at the branch told me that they can't find my order in the system and they advised me to get in touch with the customer support. Once again, I have an order number, and confirmation email in my hand clearly showing that pizza was ordered and confirmed, but no pizza, no resolution for problem, instead a request to get in touch with some ephemeral customer support. After some searching for customer support details (the branch could not provide me with it), I had an online chat with customer support (that was the only option, as no phone number was available). Customer support told me that they can see my order, but now they need to talk to the branch to find out why the order was not fulfilled. After that they may (!) come back to me via email. If you stop and think about this for a second, I have ordered a simple pizza, paid in full and all I wanted is to get it at my door and to feed hungry kids. Instead, I am being footballed between the branch and a customer support, with no indication that anyone is actually planning to solve the issue and to get that pizza to us today. Mishaps happen, I get that. This could have happened to anyone, but within that time I was trying to get anywhere with this issue, they could have put the order right, made that pizza and still get it delivered, while I was going back and forth between customer support and the branch, but it looks like Pizza Hut couldn't care less about their customers. Needless to say that we had to cut our outdoor plans short and get back home to feed our kids. I am yet to hear back from customer support, and they will probably(eventually?) refund me for that pizza, but it doesn't matter anymore. What matters is that I have learned that Pizza Hut does not care about their customers. The pizza is not only about the ingredients used to make it. It is also about how much care is taken to make it and to deliver it. If you see that care element is not there, how can you trust the quality of the food you are going to...
Read moreThe two pizzas I ordered yesterday's evening had no topping. I ordered a Vegetable Supreme and Veggie Sizzler, both with no cheese as we don't include dairy products in our diet. We normally get both pizzas covered with a reach topping but last evening the amount of vegetables on top was shocking - I had 3 tiny slices of mushrooms on mine and a few pieces of tomato and pineapple, couldn't see any onions, same on my partner's order. It was very disappointing. It looked like 2 different people were working on the pizzas - one person done an incredible job of preparing the dough - which was nicely done and well baked, and another person responsible for adding the topping had absolutely no clue how the pizza should look like - spreading a bit of tomato sauce and adding a leftovers which didn't fit on a previous pizza and calling it a topping. It looked like the kitchen run out of veg. We couldn't believe what we saw. We ended up chopping our own tomatoes and frying up the mushrooms we had in our fridge to actually have anything on top because it felt like we just bought 2 pizza doughs. We recently moved into the Woodley area from Uxbridge where we had the best possible pizzas from Pizza Hut and it is a huge disappointment that the Reading branch is saving their budget on their toppings. Read moreFor a second time in a row this branch has yet again disappointed my self . Main problem with this branch is despite having mangers in store they have no control over dealing with customer complaints.
Note to customers don't pay on line they will refuse to refund your food when it's wrong or doesn't show up. THIS IS A MAJOR ISSUES AND NO DIFFERENT TO THEFT !
Our food arrived 40min late and cold pizza, side orders were just about ok but not great all all! Manager in his fairness attempted to handle to issue and to be fair sent out a pizza within20 min as promised. But needless to say after a argument on the phone we lost to urge to eat.
